That sounds really cool!

There are a couple things I need to know though,

The type of game (Final Fantasy-like would be preferable, but most difficult)

The protagonist (I'm too biased to pick...)

A.I. Pony would be the hero, you would be the side kick, 42 would play the part of all the npcs, I would be the main antagonist, and Lavar would be that guy who says nothing but

If you really want me to, I can do Final Fantasy (despite me never playing the games don't hurt me.)

The sprites should be easy to get around once I know what they'd look like.

I'm not 100% sure myself. You should ask them yourself.

What program are you using? I've used a few of those, and I believe I've gotten quite good at one called Game Maker 8.

You said you're basing it off Final Fantasy, right? There's another game making program I have called RPG Maker VX that's probably far more suited to making such a game then Game Maker 8. But if you get it, you only have a free 30-day trial before you have to pay for it, so that could be an issue.

 

In Game Maker 8, the main thing I'm good at is making platforming games. I have a lot less experience with anything out of platformers, but hopefully I can still be useful!

In my experience, it isn't easy to make turn based games in Game Maker. It's not impossible, but you need to know what you're doing.

 

And that sprite is awesome! I can't make good sprites on my own, so most of my games just use the default sprites that come with Game Maker. My older platforming games have you play as a blue ball, jumping through levels avoiding the stationary green balls, or worse, the moving red balls!
