Does anybody else here like weight lifting?

"Do you even lift, bro?!" Not yet, but soon! :)

I really want to get into lifting weights... I want to get some hand weights or some dumbbells to start me off, but I do have a barbell that I need to clean off and start using. I just thought using hand weights would be a better way to ease into it.

Weight lifting exercises are my favorite workout exercises. There's something oddly satisfying about feeling your arms / upper chest (when you do chest exercises) /shoulders all tired, after which they become strong as steel.

I used to like lifting those 5 or 10 pound weights when I was younger since it made me feel stronger every lift I would do xD. Although now I don't care lol.

I really want to get back into weight lifting. I have gotten so out of touch with my body since going to college, getting married, and going back to college that I have to relearn everything. However, my body is different now, and I want to lean up instead of bulk up....wish there was a "excerise for dummies" book....

Ugh, I have a love/hate relationship with weight lifting. While I'm doing it, I want to die and stop and just let my poor body just take a minute to realize that it isn't dying. But I can't, because my instructor is a sadist XD. I prefer cardio (Freaking love cardio, 3 miles everyday), but cardio just doesn't give you that look that drives people crazy.

TL;DR: Cardio MasterRace.

I generally go to the gym about 3-4 times a week and started at 18 (26 now). I do cardio and weights, but not anything super crazy. Messing up joints down the road by going overboard is what concerns me when I see people who look like Bulk Biceps- LOL.

I just do it to stay healthy/toned.

In mid fall I always seem to stop for a month or two due to getting too busy with work/school.

(*Edit* I just noticed I used all the "to's" there ^_^ )

I think I'm going to get back to it next week since finals are going to be over by then.

Oh yeah...you can probably guess what I do by the name, but I try to work out at least twice a day when I can. I mainly focus on cardio in the mornings and do targeted muscle groups in the afternoons. Weekends are two-a-day cardio sessions or hill runs.

Had my iPod set up for Bluetooth to use wireless headphones a few weeks ago but I forgot to enable security on it...and somehow another guy with similar headphones got synched onto mine, I knew he did because he dropped the weights in his hands, took the headphones off and gave them to his spotter and they were both pretty shocked to hear 'Pinkie's Brew' rockin' out!
