Riverleaf Breeze 47 January 9, 2012 Share January 9, 2012 The reasoning behind why we have not seen any pegasi parents,is because their young are left to take care of themselves,as soon as they can walk,talk,and flap their wings. Also, we haven't seen Scootaloo's parents because there has been no need yet. She is just Applebloom's and Sweetie Bell's friend. I think that we might see Fluttershy's, Rainbow Dash's, and Scootaloo's parents eventually. Swoop 2,278 January 9, 2012 Share January 9, 2012 Seeing as the majority of ponies in the land of Equestria possess human attributes and qualities, It would appear a little out of place for one particular race to adopt parenting practices similar to that of a reptile or bird. Equestria is a civilised society with a market based economy and general a standard of living, so to assume that pegasus children are forsaken to fend for themselves at a young age, doesn't really seem to fit in with the scheme of things. She obviously didn't enjoy flying around, but couldn't she have gone home if she didn't like it? It is also implied that she stays on the ground, even though she's still a little filly. Plasmastorm X-15 162 January 28, 2012 Share January 28, 2012 I would like to thank Blue for bringing this up Are Pegasi abandoned as Fillies & Colts because f you notice, there`s no Pegasi at all that has their parents revealed into the show nor has kids (Besides Mr. & Mrs. cake) While Twilight, Rarity, & Pinkie Pie`s parents were revealed. Applejack not sure but there must`ve been a reason, Fluttershy & Rainbow Dash from what we know of started off in Flight school (Which also leads to Scootaloo not having a home & being an orphan) Do they have parents? Either that or the dad leaves and the mom died giving birth. Or bird DNA and pony DNA where mixed to create the pegasi race. That is why you should pay attention in biology class, you'll learn something! You have no idea what I did with what I learned in biology to get a better understanding of ponies! It's not abandonment on the parents part but on the offspring. Well on that note, as far as Scoot is concerned, there could be evidence of a disruptive lifestyle or abandoned early. You could also assume that Scoot fell from Cloudsdale (which from Fluttershy's experience no pony came to her rescue).
