Yeah, te first hour was basically a bad excuse to show nudity, the second half had 2 or 3 well done gore effects, the end. Now the guinea pig movies on the other hand those were both awful and funny

Wolf Creek was the first serious horror movie Ive ever seen. When I watch it now it's not that interesting but years ago it would make me afraid to get out of bed in the night.

It's also based on a real story apparently and is basically about some teens whose car breaks down and become stuck in the woods if I remember correctly. Some creep offers them help and then completely sabotages their vehicle so they can't leave and then begins to torture and kill them.

It might be worth a look.

I love Jacob's Ladder, that was always one of my favorites! Not a series though...

 

I'm not a big fan of the slasher/tortureporn type like Wolf Creek and Hostel though. I will watch them but I just don't care for the "gore for the sake of gore" type stuff. Meh. I'd rather have a creepy/spooky movie with a good plot. The gore generally does not bother me except for a few certain scenes in certain movies that make me squeamish, but I just don't see the point and I don't think it makes them more scary.

Well one of my fave horror series was an actual show called Masters Of Horror; it used to be on the Showtime channel. Each episode was like a movie since they lasted for an hour each. Was really good if you ask me. I love being scared, don't know why xD.

Yeah Masters of Horror was pretty good. Each episode was directed by a different "famous" horror movie director, so they should be good, but some were better than others IMO. Some were also based off of short stories by well-known authors, like The Screwfly Solution which was an award-winning scifi story. I think my favorite was The Fair Haired Child.

 

There is another series called Fear Itself which is based on the same idea.

What is everypony's favorite horror movie? What horror movies would you recommend to other horror fans? Ive seen many horror movies. These include: Disturbia, All Texas Chainsaw Massacres, All Final Destinations, Insidious, Roommate, Don't be afraid of the dark, Eden Lake, the eye, and many others.
