I couldn't think of a title, so that'll have to do for now. Also, as you'll see, I'm not great at OPs.

 

It was a warm summer evening in Canterlot. There was a new nightclub that just opened up a week ago, but had quickly grown a reputation of being one of the best in Equestria.

 

Vinyl Blade was helping her sister set up for her gig that night. She had set up the black lights, the strobes, and most of the sound equipment, Scratch handled the rest. "Is that everything," Blade asked.

"Yeah, just let me run a sound check and I'll be done."

Blade stepped outside to find a nice line forming. She turned back to her sister and said, "Looks like we'll have a nice sized crowd again tonight." She opened up the doors and the party started.

Radioactive yawned, bored. She didn't really know WHY her co-workers had told her to come here, maybe one of them was thinking to spike one of her drinks and get lucky. Unfortunately for them, when she was bored, she had a tendency to check the chemical compounds around her. She had a tendency to skip over ponies; they tended to be boring. It was in this way that she learned the bartender had, in fact, spiked her drink, though not with one she knew. She looked at him sharply, "Excuse me, mister, but I do not want to wake up in strange places. Try again." The bartender sighed, and handed her a new drink. Gah, what an untrustworthy bunch, he spiked this one too... "Are you really that desperate, or did somepony put you up to this?" he blushed, then pointed across the bar. She wasn't in the mood to play hooky with anypony tonight, especially not that foal. She sighed and magically broke down the compound, taking it out of her drink and restructuring it in his, thinking, I bet he's one of the higher ups, wanting to say he had a night with one of the mares in the research division.

Hunter was on the dance floor, dancing of course, whilst waving her black mane around. earlier, a colt grabbed her on the flank, well lets just say he wont be smelling anything any time soon. she danced trying not to look sultry but also trying not to look like a nun. she loved a good party just as it didn't go out of control, but at least at a club, it can be more controlled

Sky walked into the night club and went straight to the bar. He was still unsure if it was a good idea to go to a night club. "Could I have a Manehattan on the Rox?" Sky asked the bartender as he tapped his hoof on the bar counter. The song that was playing was rather catchy. "Wow, the DJ must be pretty talented." Sky thought to himself as the bartender passed him his drink.

Aarod Brachuin roamed the streets of Canterlot. He had no idea why he was even still here. He hated Canterlot, and almost all the ponies who were around. As he walked down one of the many streets, he saw lights flashing from some club or another. He wasn't much of a party lover, but he could go for a drink, and if the rumours he had heard were true about this place, then it was awesome. He slowly entered, studying the ponies in there. It didn't seem like any of them knew him, and he like it that way. He made his way to the bar where he sat down and asked the bartender for something strong, the strongest thing they might have.

Radioactive saw a new pony come to the bar. Bet that unicorn doesn't know about nuclear physics. Or that he's about to get enough energy to last him the night through that one drink. That bartender... Oh wow! It just reacted with the alcohol! Look at that crystalline structure! And do you see that, the drink's color change? Oh, it's absorbing heat! Of course, it looked weird, as everypony saw a strange mare staring at the drink of a stallion, instead of at the stallion.

Hunter stopped dancing, she decided to get a drink, she trotted on up to the bar and noticed a mare staring at a stallions drink instead of the stallion himself

"hey barkeep, a raspberry vodka"

she saw the barkeep drop a pill into the glass

"hey! i saw that! you think its funny to drug innocent mares to do unspeakable things to?"

Hunter was always like a rose, you either got the flower or the thorns. eventually the barkeep gave her an undrugged drink

(OOC Posting with phone, no colored text. Also, Twi wouldn't really go to a nightclub, so I won't post as her yet. Lastly, dat bartender.

 

Mal heard of the this club before. He entered the door and walked in. The bar caught his eye so he headed there. When he arrived he ordered a drink from be bartender. He also noticed a mare next to him. (Radio)

She seemed to be staring at the drinks which he found rather odd. He looked back to his drink as it arrived.

 

Sapphire was bored. She stood near a corner of the nightclub. The music was okay, but the ponies here, nothing really that special. She expected this place to be different from the other nightclubs, so far it felt quite the same.

She shifted her gaze to the colt next to her, then stared at HIS drink. Her eyes glowed faintly as she inspected the particles, "I wouldn't drink that, if I were you. You'll wake up in some new place with no idea how you got there. Whatever he spiked it with adds a catalyst to your blood stream, causing the neurons in your brain to over-react, cause a short high, then slow way down as they try to normalize, causing memory loss. In short, you'll have the time of your life, and then forget it... Err, he drugged your drink too."

Aarod was handed his drink, supposedly whatever the strongest the bar had to offer. She watched the other ponies at the bar for a few minutes, watching the one who was defiantly inspecting everyone's drink. He carefully took a sip of his as he continued to watch, very intrigued with this mare who either knew alot about this place, or could see into the drinks themselves.

Sky downed his drink and left the glass on the bar counter. He then got up off the bar stool and walked on to the dance floor. He began dancing averagely. As he looked around the room alot of mares caught his eyes but he didn't make a move on any of them. "I really need to be more confident..." Sky thought to himself.

Mal stared at his glass. Then to the mare. "Oh... Thanks for the warning. What's your name? I'm Mal." He asked her with a small smile on his face.

'I wonder how she knows it's spiked just by taking a look at the drink. Interesting...'

"How did you know about the drink?" Mal asked Radio curiously.

 

Sapphire decided to get a drink. She went to the bar. "I would like some brandy please." The bartender handed a glass of brandy to Sapphire. She took a sip, she noticed the odd taste and quickly spat it out. "Spiking the drink. Very creative." Sapphire said sarcastically. As she threw the contents of the drink at the bartender.

 

Mal saw what happened. "I guess I'm not the only one whose drink was bad." He mumbled.

Vinyl was watching over the party. It was her responsibility as the manager/co-owner to make sure nothing went wrong and if something did, to see that it got handled. She noticed one pony inspecting the drinks and warning others, so she walked over to her and questioned her about it. "Is everything alright, ma'am?"

"Radioactive Tragedy," she said to Mal. She was thinking of the best way to answer his question; She couldn't really say she was a chemist from the future, when a new pony came up. "Ya, fine, except the bartender likes to spike ponies drinks. It really is a unique chemical compound, I think it's an ion combined with a covelent pair..."

(OOC ahhh remembering chemistry from last year.)

 

"Interesting name.... So, you're a chemist? So, wouldn't the compound be hard to synthesize? I wonder how they make it if the----" Mal was interrupted by Vinyl Blade's question. "The bartender seems to be spiking the drinks with some chemical. I sure that's not legal." Mal said.

 

Sapphire stayed where she was still wanting a drink but no longer trusting the bartender who was trying to wipe brandy off of his mane.

"Not really, no... You'd just need some heat, then carefully arrange the oxygen with the chlorine, and I think that's Iron IV. I'm not entirely sure what it causes to react in the brain, but judging from that pony, it has something to do with both dopamine and the neurons in your brain. If I was in my lab I would be able to anylize it further, and know for sure but- Oh, here we go again. Rant rant rant," she sighs.

Vinyl was obviously confused. She never really was good with chemistry anyway. "Uh... Yeah... I'm sorry about that and I'll get right on to fixing it." She called the bartender in question to talk in private and went into a back room. Vinyl told him that if he's caught doing it again, he'd be fired. She walked back out and said that it wouldn't be a problem again

hunter downed her drink and left the bar, she noticed a colt (sky) try to dance and thought to teach him how to dance better

"you look like you could use some help"

she giggled

"I'm Hunter Incendiare, who might you be?"

she started to dance in front of him at the same pace

Mal smiled at Radio. "So, uh... How do you want me to address you? Radioactive or Tragedy?" Mal asked her, he found her name most unusual. Mal turned to Vinyl as she returned. "Glad to hear that's taken care of." Mal said as he ordered another drink.

 

Sapphire bumped into Vinyl as she walked past the bar. "Sorry, my fault." She said appologetically.

Radio nods to Vinyl, signifying she had heard, then turned back to Mal. "Ah yes, the common custom... I guess you could call me Radio," she said, drinking her drink. She had already secretly extracted the spike from Mal's drink, and turned it into a gaseous form. The bartender was going to have one interesting night. Maybe she'd tip him, see what happens. She absent mindedly looked at the DJ stand, "Do you think there'll be pyrotechnics? Hmmm, phosphorus based, or would the DJ prefer Potassium Nitrate?"

 

(Potassium Nitrate is gunpowder, by the way.)

Vinyl turned around and noticed the cute mare that just bumped into her. "Huh? Oh, it's no problem. Hey, so uh, what's your name? I'm Vinyl Blade. Can I maybe... Buy you a drink? Don't worry, they're not spiked anymore. I handled that." Vinyl was obviously just a bit nervous.

Mal looked at the Dj stand. "Well, isn't the potassium compound more reactive than phosphorous? If it is then wouldn't phosphorous be safer?" Mal replied to Radio.

 

"I'm Sapphire Shine, just call me Sapphire if you want. Sure, let's get a drink, as long as it's not spiked." Sapphire replied to Vinyl.

Whirl Wake walked into the night club casually. He was just hoping to get a decent drink, talk to someone and leave. Like that would ever happen here. He walked over to the bartender and saw him spiking mares' drinks with a white pill. "Hey!" He said rather loud. "You do know that is prosthetic phosphate, don't you?" The bartender gave him a strange look. "That chemical compound is for extreme cases of infection in the cerebellum. If you're planning on drugging someone, don't use something that could kill them within five hours of a dosage." Whirl Wake was very proud of his knowledge in medicine, and sometimes it came in very handy. He walked over to the other side of the rather large room and ordered a drink, eyeing the beverage suspiciously as it was being prepared. He noticed a red and yellow maned mare approaching the seat next to him with another behind her. "Hi." He said. "Be careful around these guys," He said, pointing a hoof at the barkeep. "if you don't plan on getting your drink spiked."

 

OOC: Prosthetic phosphate is just something I made up, don't science Nazi one me. That yellow and red maned mare is Vinyl Blade, by the way. I'm a bit late, so excuse anything that may not be canon.

Aarod watched the other ponies. He didn't care if his drink was spiked, if he found out it was, then the bartender would wish he hadn't. Canterlot may have been nicer than Manehatten, but even here there were the ponies just out to get something or somepony. He thought to himself, taking another sip of his drink, and then downing the rest when he decided it was alright. He stood up from the bar and went and stood next to the wall, still watching all of the ponies around.

"Safer, yes. As spectacular? No. And that is DJ Pwn3, it's Pottassium Nitrate. She goes for the show, doesn't really pay attention to warning labels. It'll make her famous," she says, adding quickly, "Probably. Anyways, what do you do Mal? You don't seem to want to talk much about yourself..."
