Iron Wing was looking around the ponies that had entered the library. Most of them seemed to have a good time and found everything they were seeking. But one stallion didn´t look happy at all. The armored mare went to the stallion with a light blue coat and a silver mane. "Hey there, is everything alright? Didn´t find what you were looking for? If you need help just tell me." she said to him. She didn´t recognize this pony so she bet he was a new one in town. Perhaps he needed a guide for Ponyville and didn´t find it? Obviously one of the other new ponies that arrived in Ponyville the last couple of days could have taken it. But since Iron Wing wasn´t sure if that was the stallions problem, she waited for his response. It could be that he needed something else. As a guardian, Iron Wing would be glad to help.

The armored mare snapped Sky out of his daydreaming.

"Oh, yes. No, thank you. I'm fine," He observed the purple mare,A soldier, local guard, scout maybe?,"Just looking for some books" He glanced at the bookshelf.

Wait, she's a scout, maybe she know...Nah, nevermind.

He sighed, "Do you know everypony who live here? I've lived here long enough, but I know nopony but my workmates".

Iron Wing listened to the light blue stallion. "Well, i know already most of the ponies here within Ponyville, but not everyone since some new ponies arrived here lately. If you want we can get you to the town registery to look if there are inhabitants you know. By the way, because i don´t know you too, i shall introduce myself. I am Iron Wing, guardian pony and scout, stationed here in Ponyville in the southern watchtower." she said with a calm and warm voice nodding to him. "Within my patrols i try to help other ponies with their everydays work and stuff like that. So if you need help, you now know where i can be found." she finished her introduction with a grin on her face, smiling friendly to the light blue stallion.

Sky nodded and tried to smile, but only made a weak smile "I'm Sky Warden, nice to meet you" He gave her a hoofshake.

Town register would be nice...Ask her? Nah, sounds like a bad idea, but just have it a try.

"Uhm, are there any unicorn who just came from Canterlot?" He smiled, tried to look as so-so as possible.

Even though I have no idea what to do if she's here somehow.

As he approached to the library he notices it was “crowded”… for a library that is. As he reached the window he peaked to see someponies looking for the right read.

 

He realized that it has been some time since he was in a confined space with so many other ponies “well it has been good till now… let’s take this to the high stakes” he thought still he went back to his 4 legs and put on his “wing hood”. He was taking some risks but not that many.

 

He knocked the door but it open all by itself, he went inside with some jitters inside him as he tried to keep a low profile. 

 

"Well, i know already most of the ponies here within Ponyville,

 

 

 

He was not trying to stalk other conversations but that those words grab his attention, even more when he noticed the source was the armored Pegasus that “helped him” early that day.

 

 

She was talking to somepony and he have interrupted so two couples that day so he could wait, he start looking for the shelves on the far ends of the library as he kept an eye on the mare.

Toushitei walked into the library. He headed straight for the science section and picked a number of books. He searched for an empty table and sat down, taking a thermos out of his saddlebag and starting to read the first book.

After only the first few pages he could already realize that he wasn't really getting anywhere. The subject matter was way out of his grasp, and he had trouble understanding the chemist jargon that filled every page of the book. He looked around to see if there was anypony who looked capable of helping him out.

hunter looked into the town for a second until her 'Incendiare sniper vision' caught sight of a couple at the other edge of town

"d'awwwwww theres a cute couple over there, Rainy. looks like a first kiss moment, its so cute"

she laid back down on the cloud and let out a sigh

"I do miss the days when I was courted like that, it made my heart flutter"

"Hmm?" Rain looked over the cloud and strained his eyes to see what Hunter was looking at. " I can't see them." He shrugged and laid down next to Hunter. Rain looked over at Hunter his heart thundered in  chest. He took a deep breath and flipped over so he was standing over her, and he kissed her.

Rust stood for a moment, thinking about what Vinyl had just said. He had the opportunity to stay somewhere, to interact with other ponies! But did he really want to do that? His knowledge of Equestria was sketchy at best and he had no idea what he'd do here. Another look at Vinyl finally settled it. She looked lonely, and he felt bad about just leaving. At last he sighed, and spoke.

"Okay, I'll stay. But only for a few days... just a hoof rest. A chance to stay in a town longer than half an hour. Thanks for the room." he smiled a little. "It was kind of you. Nobody has been that kind for a while." he glanced over to the window and watched the passing ponies. "Wanna explore the town?" he asked excitedly. "Oh, and you can keep those gems. Use them to like.. remember me or something."

Without checking that Vinyl was following, Rust raced out excitedly onto the street. He smiled happily, before pondering what to do first. Well if he was going to be staying here for a few days, it would help to find out more about Equestria. He knew something his sister had told him about a... princess? Something like that. Where could he learn all this stuff? "Aha!" he cried aloud, "The library! Come on Vinyl, let's go!" and without waiting for a reply, Rust dashed childishly along the high street, oblivious to the ponies around him.

She thought about the question and the arriving unicorns that came to Ponyville. "Nice to meet you Sky! Well, some unicorns have arrived in Ponyville, i am sure of it. But i haven´t looked into the register today so you should check it out. Just go into the town hall and then go left. There is an extra room for the town registry. There you can find everypony´s name and where they live if the home is known. I think yesterday i read a name like... um... let me think... Angel Feather! I got it. But for more information you should visit the registry." she said to Sky Warden.

 

He seemed to seek a special pony so Iron didn´t want to waste his time. "Well, i won´t be in the way if you want go. It was nice to meet ya. If you are looking for a place to sleep or you need work, i have a registry for reasons like that and i update it frequently. Just ask me if you need information." she said and stepped aside. She looked around if somepony needed her help.

Oh yeah, alright."  Indigo chuckled and followed Angel up the stairs.  This is quite a nice house now that I think about it.  But Even when I get my own store, I really won't want to leave here...  "So did you buy this place?  It's nice.  A little bit bigger than my parent's house in Cloudsdale I think.  But I don't really remember."

This was not going as the think it would  it was taking long and suddenly trying to keep the low profile he found himself in the "Discovering your marehood" section and the title of some of those books totally freaked him out and of top of that the library was getting crowded and crowded.

 

"Wow... Ponyville really likes to read" he thought. 

 

He droped the idea of wafting for the armored pegasus as she bid farewell to the stallion by her side.

 

Hiding his face with his hood and with a low voice he adressed. @Iron Wing

 

"Please excuse me and my interruption. Im new in town and looking for this library manager, I couldn’t help overhearing your conversation and since you know everyone in town do you know where I can find her?"

 

As he said this words he noticed the "guard" symbol on the mare's armor.

 

"O crap..." was the reaction in his mind

"Hmm?" Rain looked over the cloud and strained his eyes to see what Hunter was looking at. " I can't see them." He shrugged and laid down next to Hunter. Rain looked over at Hunter his heart thundered in  chest. He took a deep breath and flipped over so he was standing over her, and he kissed her.

hunters eyes sprung open in surprise, she then closed her eyes and enjoyed the kiss

completely speechless, her heart started to drum in her chest

she put both her forehooves on rainy's cheeks and pulled him in for another kiss

She turned around and looked at the new one, but instead of looking at a pony, it was a dragon. She remembered this one, it was the one she passed yesterday as she walked to the Sugarcube Corner! In a normal situation she wouldn´t expect a dragon to show up, but since she was living in Ponyville for a while, seeing a dragon wasn´t that unusual. She noticed that this dragon was speaking with a dampened voice so she figured he wasn´t used to be within a crowd of ponies. She adapted to his volume and answered him. "Hello there. The library was build for a mare called Twilight Sparkle with the recommendation of Princess Celestia herself. But since this is an open library for everyone who enjoys reading, everybody can enter. If you need to talk to the management of this library, you should talk to Twilight Sparkle, but i don´t know if she is within her private room now." she explained and showed the direction with her hooves, pointing to some stairs ending at a door.

 

The dragon seemed to feel uneasy looking to the guardian symbol on her armor. But because Iron Wing didn´t hear anything negative since now from anypony about a dragon, everything was ok. "You can ask me everything you want to know or if you need help. Since we are in Ponyville you don´t have to be shy. Dragons are welcome here if they don´t disturb the peace within town with bad habits and attitude. Since i didn´t hear anything negative until now, you can calm down, nopony means you harm." she said smiling to the dragon.

He was simply amazed by the answer of the armored pony, it was just to soon to be this close to… what he was looking for, she took her totally of guard and for sure his fiscal reaction was a testimony for that.

As he listens to her words he lowered his “wing-hood” and the yellow scales on his head and nape rose to his normal look. It was like a autonomous reflex.

 

 

“It can’t be just that good” were his thoughts “but there is no reason for her to lie”

 

He snapped out of it looking at the mare violet eyes with a certain confused stare.

Sudenly he was shaking his head trying to get a hold of himself and just one thing in mind to ask

The dragon just looked confused to Iron Wing until he asked a question. "Well, that maybe because Twilight Sparkle has a dragon friend and assistant. Sometimes he gave trouble to the inhabitants of this town aswell but it wasn´t that tragic. His name is Spike, and because of him everyone in Ponyville accepted the fact that dragons are intelligent creatures that can be nice if they want to. Since this acceptance Ponyville and even villages and towns nearby started to change their point of view about different creatures." Luckily Iron Wing had read enough about the town and everything that had happened here so she could give good answers to everyone. It was within the job to know many different things about the location where you are living.

 

She offered him a hoove to shake. "I am Iron Wing, stationed at the southern watch-tower of ponyville, guardian and scout. It´s nice to meet ya!" she said with a big smile on her face. It was just a fact that Ponyville was nice to every creature that didn´t mean harm to everypony, and this fact she tried to make clear to the dragon. "If you need anything like a job or a place to sleep you may ask me." she offered to the dragon.

She was telling the truth, even if she was unaware of the other towns she velived every word she said. He look around and sighed

 

He stood up on his back legs and took the hoove of Iron Wing with his right claw.

 

“I am Colt it’s more than a pleasure Iron Wing”

 

“Your offering is also way too kind but im afraid your kindness arrived a little late, I have found a place to work and sleep at the Apple’s property. The older sister of the family was who tell me about the librarian”

 

That’s what he said when his eyes turned over to the door Iron Wing pointed.

 

“Still is good to know this town is on good hooves and I would love to speak with you… a lot but I have an errand for the Apple’s , they ask me for a favor with the librarian and I need to finish it before our chat can continue ” 

 

He bow at  the armored pegasus.

 

“You have brought a lot of good news to me Iron Wing… hope to see you around later”

 

He kissed the blue mare hoof over her protector as a signal of gratitude as he went back to his four legs.

Toushitei Noticed a certain armored mare he had met not too long ago. He stood up and walked over to her. He greeted her with a little bow. "Well, hello again Miss... Wing? Was it not?" He scratched the back of his head. "Forgive me, my memory isn't that great I fear." He shrugged his shoulders and turned his attention back to Iron Wing. "Well, 't is what 't is I guess... Here to brush up on some knowledge I take it?"

hunter held rainy in a tight but comfortable embrace and brushed a hoof through his mane, she could feel his heartbeat through his chest and giggled

Rain blushed even more."Yeah to be completely honest I was attracted to you from the start too. So Uhhh would you like to be my special somepony?" Rain felt her heart beating about as fast as his. He smiled sheepishly and waited for the response. His heart rate increased with the suspense.

Vinyl stood as she watched rust run out of the house and mention a library. "Looks like we're going to the library." Vinyl laughed as she watched him bound down the path not really watching where he was going. she arrived at the library and had just caught up with rust.

"So why are you in such a good mood all of a sudden then and thanks for the gems earlier, i appreciate it." she blushed as she finished her sentence. Maybe i can persuade him to stay with me for longer than a few days, he's cute. Vinyl then hoping she didn't say it out loud and that it was just the voice in her head.

"Nice to meet you Colt!" she agreed with him. This dragon had very nice manners, more surprising for Iron. "The offering is always there, just in case if you need it." she replied. But then he had to go to Twilight Sparkle and kissed her hoove. She didn´t know what to say as the dragon went back on his four legs. She blushed and giggled a bit. "Well, you know where to find me..." she answered.

 

"Well, hello again Miss... Wing? Was it not?"

 

She turned around as she heared a familiar voice. "Ah, Starstream, nice to meet you again. That´s correct, Iron Wing. But i am more comfortable if everypony just calls me Iron." Then she smiled upon his question. "Well, i am just on my patrol and noticed that the library got much attention. So i went here to look if everything is alright. But since i am here i may lend a book for reading in the evening hours." she replied to the pegasus.

After parting ways with Iron Wing, the young dragon mind was still made a complete mess, years of rejection and persecution over, just like that, he had to make sure it was real. Not that he didn’t trust the winged guard but this was what they were searching he had to be sure.

 

He knocked the door

 

 “Is the answer really behind this?” he whispered

 

“For that I will have to know the question” said the voice of a purple unicorn that was opening the entrance to the room

 

“My name is Twitlight Sparkle, I don’t know if I can give what you seek but by the look on your face this will take long…”

 

“…Come on in tell me what’s going on” she added with a gesture inviting him in 

 

The dragon accepted the invitation.

 

“It makes me wonder”  he said to the mare as the door closed.
