Did anyone else see shades of Batman vs Bane, given that Trixie bests Twilight and exiles her? It reminded me of The Dark Knight Rises.

Yeah, a while ago a member named Batbrony pointed out the parallels to me, and they really are astonishing. Congrats on noticing them for yourself

This episode kind of went by a bit too fast for me. Not only that but it was somewhat uneventful to be honest...

 

It isn't bad per se, it was just... I was expecting a bit more though, I am glad that Trixie made a return and got the revenge out of her system

Was there any meaning behind Trixie being afraid of wheels? Her old mobile home had wheels, and got smashed by the Ursa... but it's not like it was broken due top having wheels, so I'm not sure if the trauma of that would be related.

 

It was something of a stealth pun/joke: The reason Trixie doesn't trust wheels is because they have a habit of "turning on you". Laughs

While I wish they would have done more with Trixie and Twilight. It was just really nice seeing her again more than anything. 

Hopefully next time they meet they actually have to work together, which I think would lend greatly to a episode.

When first watching this, I was amazed at how quickly Trixie went from simply wanting revenge to wanting to conquer all of Equestria. How much corruption was in that amulet to cause such a massive spike in evil and power?

Very good episode! I thought it was really clever the plan that Twilight came up with. It fooled me too! I don't think Trixie's sorry for what she did though, I think she's just gonna go to another town and do the same thing again.

Most epic moment that I would rewatch the whole thing for: Pinkie gets her mouth back and starts to say something when the credits come.

Trixie took a job on a rock farm???      

Please tell me this isn't just for a laugh, and that we might find out more about Pinkie's past.

One of the things I like about this episode is that Zecora help Twilight with Magic and at the end of the episode shows Trixie has redeemed herself.

Trixie is one of the best characters; I love what they did with her in Equestria Girls, but that's besides the point...

 

...and the point is that this is an epic episode (even though I was not tricked by Twilight, I knew something fishy was up), and the Alicorn Amulet is a really neat artifact.

This was probably the first episode of My Little Pony that I watched (but not the first MLP thing I viewed). It was a bit weird considering the episode was a sequel to Boast Busters, so I didn't get all the references (nor the characters' names as much).

 

I think Trixie still has plenty to be upset about considering they made a mockery of her and is now "homeless" (or who knows) because of Boast Busters, but redemption's cool too. Pinkie Pie was pretty quiet that episode lol .
