If this isn't the appropriate place for an LP, mods may move it at their discretion, since I wasn't sure where this actually goes.

 

Anyway, this is a SMAC LP with a twist: one of the factions will be replaced with a custom faction via the faction editor: a My Little Pony faction! Led by Princess Celestia and Twilight Sparkle, the pony colonists must adapt to life on Planet as well as dealing with the usual human factions and their separate agendas. Users of this forum, however, must pick one human faction to replace with ponies. Choose wisely:

 

Gaia's Stepdaughters

The Human Hive

Spartan Federation

Peacekeepers

Morgan Industries

Lord's Believers

University of Planet

Oh God, I LOVE Alpha Centauri.

 

Anyway, I vote the Peacekeeper be replaced because they are a bunch of lame idiots who always attack me because Lal just can;t handle the fact that I'm better than him. I generally play University, and people start attacking me because I'm awesome, and then Lal sees me winning all these wars and is like "woah, bro, why so aggressive?" and I'm all like "yo, my brother man Lal, they attacked first. I was just chillin' with my science, and the Miriam and Yang decided to attack me. And I ain't havin' none of that, so I kicked their asses."

And then Lal replies "well, war is wrong, so I'm declaring war on you." which is when I start laughing and just say "come at me bro" and then end up killing everybody.

 

So yeah, replace the Peacekeepers.

OK then, no problem. I don't like the Peacekeepers either, they just suck.

 

I'm having problems with the configuration though, but once I get the faction files to work properly we will have ponies on Planet.

You can throw me the text file, I've modded the game a few times before. Nothing too major, but I've added and removed factions, changed up the technology, tweaked things to make a few things less OP, stuff like that.

I got the text file working, but the custom PCX images won't show up - I made some portraits showing Celestia's face, a faction flag, etc, but I keep getting the faction.pcx placeholders when I load the game.

Ah. I've never actually messed around with that stuff. I just figured "eh, I don't play this game for the portraits" and went on my way
