Your Dream Equestrian Career

You wake up one morning to find yourself in Equestria.  You don't know how you got there, and as far as anyone knows you can't get back home to the world of humans.  You need to find a way to support yourself.  Fortunately, the job market in Equestria is much better than it is on Earth, and as long as you're willing to learn, you can be trained for just about anything.  What do you want to do with your life?  Who do you want to work with or for?

 

Also, there's a catch.  You are still human.  You cannot fly or use unicorn magic, but on the plus side you get to keep your hands.

In that case i would be a historian in equestria. I would tell ponys everything about the human history. Also i want to learn more about the ponys.

Can you still be enchanted by unicorns? If so I would get enchanted by the cloud-walker spell and go work in the Cloudesdale weather factory. I'd just need to remember to get it refreshed every few days. Otherwise...splat.

 

If not, probably some kind of work involving the hot air balloons. Closest thing to conventional aircraft they've got there.

I think I would find myself in a line of work building extremely elaborate aircrafts that I would sell at a extremely unreasonable price to ponies that lack in wings, thus supporting myself in the land of ponies.

 

But reasonably speaking in a way, there are many possibilities to what a human with prior knowledge of the world they lived in could do in the land of the ponies. Considering all the things that have not been invented in Equestria, one could probably change the way of life by inventing/selling much useless garbage for them and send their economy into a huge depression that they would never get out of.

 

Either way, they'd probably question what you are and if they are anything like humans were in the past they'd probably tar & feather you, hang you in town square & throw rocks at you as you slowly suffocate; just because you are extremely different from them.

I would work in the Canterlot Royal Archives, and occasionally steal a book or two for my personal pleasure while doing my job of sorting endless tomes of lore.

I would capitalise on the advantages of being human and offer my services doing anything that a pony cant do with their hooves.

For me it's a no brainer. I'd endeavor to be Celestia's personal guard, her right hand (or hoof, if you will). I mean we're talking about what is practically a living god. Being on good terms with her would be my first priority.

Let's see here.  I would either love to work and sugarcube corner! I could make muffins and cupcakes and all sorts of yummy things, or i would be a mailmare  so i could take letters and send them in all directions.

It would be amazing to build machines in equestria. I'm not talking about technology but I'm talking about machines that work with gears and junk. (Stuff actually in ponyville)

So yeah it would be nice to be a mechanic for equestria.

I would probably just make a living by doing anything that ponies cant do due to there lack of hands, A royal guard would be cool aswell though.

Well computers probably don't exist there so that throws out what I can do. So, I have to fall back on skills that would be useful. I guess something that involves physical work. Probably construction at best or moving furniture. Something along those lines.
