Ooooooooh yes I sure do love Disney.

I think now the reason I enjoy all of these movies is because the villains always make the movie, and in some cases (e.g. Hercules) it's more extreme than others. And with a villain often comes a good villain song. Which is why Hunchback of Notre Dame is one of my favorite Disney movies.

Disney is the best! Though their new movies aren't as epic.

Mulan

Hunchback of ND

Goofy Movie

Lion King

....the list goes on

Though I'm not sure why this is in this part of the forums ;)

Most Disney sequels just seem to be a way to make a quick buck. Their talented teams create masterpieces of movies. True art. They they make paint-by-number sequels with nowhere near the effort of the originals. They just don't have the depth or atmosphere of the better movies. I do like the Toy Story sequels though.

Mulan II for example?

Mulan 2 wasn't the worst. The ending was clearly thrown together in a matter of minutes but it had a nice feel to it.

Now The HB of Notredame II....that is just wrong

Highlighting the word "most," I'd like to point out one of the exceptions: The Rescuers Down Under. Not only does it hold its own against the first movie and Disney's past successes at that point, but it also helped The Little Mermaid ring in The Disney Renaissance and the rest of the Silver Age of Animation. Then again, I'd imagine a sequel to Disney's only significant success between The Jungle Book and The Little Mermaid should be quite capable of that.

Sure the local wasn't too consequential to the plot, and the Rescuers themselves are only around for about 1/3 of the actual movie, but the film certainly was no slouch.
