Very important note: None of those numbers are accurate.  Probably less than 70,000 people voted for any of the options in the entire contest.

 

I helped a little bit (I cast around 20-30 votes).  The voting had no system whatsoever to prevent multivotes, so everyone voted as many times as they could.

 

Part of the Brony landslide is because Bronies are traditionally more likely to be affiliated with hacker groups/more likely to be skilled in coding than other types of fans.  So I assume that the Bronies had more auto-vote bots running than the others did (it's pretty clear that most, if not all, the fan bases used bots).

 

Really it was a measure of fan devotion, not fan numbers.  So of course Bronies would win.

Seems more like a rigged, or possibly spambot-voted.  This site indicates that even the Royal Wedding didn't quite get a million viewers.  For that "5 million" figure to be accurate, less than 1 in 5 fans would have bothered to watch the show's season finale.

Wow, that's very impressive. I like really quite enjoy both shows. I'm as much a MLP fan as I am a Korra one. But I'm glad to see that MLP did so well.

You guys need to go and check out all the other categories. None of those come close to the results of MLP:FIM. Homeland winner of the Overall Category won with 1.4 mil. Mabye next year we will see MLP taking down more than the Animated series category.

But fear not! There are still somewhere between 7 and 12 million fans of Friendship is Magic in the United States alone.

 

Now if only we could get a pony onto the presidential ballot of 2016, then around 5% of the vote would be taken away assuming all of us vote for the pony.

Well to tell you the truth I hate to be the bare of bad news but a lot of people may have voted more then once.Believe me I voted for My Little Pony but you just refresh the page and vote for it again and then you can keep doing that all day long if you want.  I admit our fan base is amazing and huge but I don't think we have that many Bronies in the world. But, this is a very big deal. I absolutely love this.

Oh yeah, the show has only aired about 12 or 13 episodes if I remember correctly but it is off to a pretty good start and has the potential to become a truly great sequel to an amazing series.

The Legend of Korra is also a pretty good show, or so I've heard. Haven't seen it yet. I've heard a few comparisons made between Korra and MLP, insofar as they both have life lessons and are more highbrow than many of their contemporaries.

But regardless of the quality of the other competitors, for MLP to take the victory by such a landslide is impressive.

Oh yeah, I voted in that a couple of times since it was broken, at least for a while anyway. Anyway, this is still very cool. I honestly wouldn't have minded if some of the other shows nominated won since I love them too and western animation in general, but My Little Pony is truly the best imo, can't believe some people are still ashamed of liking it after all the good press it gets- there's no need! Our show is fucking awesome baby!

...for the Hub.  Best season premiere ever for the Hub.  Crystal Kingdom still had less than a million viewers.  

 

I'm not trying to be a curmudgeon, but c'mon, guys.  It's not like our show has numbers quite as high as some of the other shows that appeared on that list.

 

South Park season 14 and Bob's Burgers season 2 both had between 2 and 4 million viewers per episode.

 

Shit fests like American Idle get 10x that.
