League of Legends - no game has kept me occupied so well for so long

Dwarf Fortress - this game is just unlike any other, and the fandom around it is as good as that of MLP (though 100x more sociopathic)

Eve Online - The only MMO I can play for more than a week, its just so, good

Nostalgia everywhere...

Legend of Zelda is best, and forever will be my favorite 10/10 game, like Ocarina of Time was rated back in the 90's...

Pokemon is a big nostalgia thing also... I have more than 8 games, and ever so patiently awaiting the new Eeveelution in generation 6...

Okami I found out much later than most of my favorite games, but only cause' I found it through browsing Zelda videos on YouTube.

Wild Arms. There is no other. I absolutely adore the WA series but the sad part is I've yet to play a lot of it. I'm playing XF right now (the PSP SRPG) and I'm gonna get 4 and 5 soon. Still debating when (yes when, not if) I wanna get Alter Code F (remake of the first game) but rest assured I will have them all.

Well, my favorite game would have to be Tales of Symphonia. I absolutely all the "Tales" games though. If I can play them.. then I will. I almost got just got a PS3 because of Tales of Graces F.

I've yet to play a Tales game myself (except a couple hours of Tales of Destiny) but I have Tales of Xillia preordered and it comes out later this year. It looks like it's gonna be amazing if the numbers I see on Wikipedia are anything to go by.

I should really consider trying to get other Tales games.

Welp, I'm not much of a gamer, but I adore Okami. That game is so gorgeous and so much fun to play. The story is awesome. I haven't had a chance to play the sequel yet, but I'll get around to it. eventually.

Also, I love pokémon. I've been playing ever since gen 2, and it's still pretty fun. I'm super excited for X and Y.

DFTBA.

You know, despite how many games I own, and have played, naming my favorite series actually made me pause for a moment. My impulse would have been to say "Final Fantasy." Then I remembered how much I disliked 7, and how terrible X-2 and 13 were. I thought, "Maybe Pokemon?" But no, I missed generations 3-whatever it's on now, so I can't really offer an opinion on that series anymore, it's only been a decade since I last played it anyway!

Then it struck me. The one series I've played since the title launch back in the early PS1 days and continue to buy every new version of. Armored Core.

As for favorite game, no contest. Final Fantasy 9.

I'm looking forward to that one. I'll have to preorder it next time I get the chance. Right now I'm looking into getting a PS2 to play Tales of Legendia and Tales of the Abyss.

If you have a 3DS Tales of the Abyss is on there as well.

I should get Tales of Vesperia. I hear it's pretty good. Tales of Symphonia, the supposed best one, will be a doozy though cuz it'll be super expensive and rare. The only one I can play is the Gamecube version since the PS2 one never made it to the US.

Kingdom Hearts was one of my fav games really. should start playing it again...if only my PS3 could play those games. :| (if the PS4 doesn't play used games I won't bother getting it, as quite a few of my titles are 2nd hand)

Dragon Quest VIII-Journey of the Cursed King and Final Fantasy XII are two others, that I enjoyed playing. Then of course, there's Chrono Trigger, Harvest Moon 64, Lego Harry Potter Years 1-4, Lego Lord of the Rings, Pain (PSN game), and Final Fantasy XIII isn't too bad...just taking a while, to get through the story though. X|

edit: gah, I almost forgot one of the most epic titles of all time!

For me, my two absolute favorite series' are the Disgaea and Mother series'. I love the quirky characters and humor that both possess. I love almost all aspects of them, even Mother1's rather high difficulty at times.

I'm gonna have to say Pokemon. I've loved it since I was about 10-11 and considering that I still play it now, yeah I'd say it's my favorite for sure. There has not been any other video game series that has kept my interest for this long.

Don't know if I replied here before, so here I go.

Oh, do online games count by the way?

Okami all the way.

Pretty stylized graphics merging 2D objects in a 3D environment, vivid colors and dynamic animations, addicting soundtrack, heartbreaking storyline, endearing characters (especially Issun)... but most of all, ARTSY GAMEPLAY, like painting circles on the screen to make the sun rise or trees bloom.

The ending is one of the rare things in the world that can make me cry since middle school. The restoration sequences for the different areas are simply gorgeous. Main and side quests are challenging and fun, albeit sometimes annoying too.

There's also Deadly Creatures.

It has a slightly darker look, but the concept is fucking genius; instead of an idealized human or humanoid elf/troll/orc/any other generic character, you get to alternate between two arachnids. Your enemies are also creatures that do exist in the Sonoran Desert in Texas, like horned lizards or tarantula hawk wasps. Rather than deflecting weird-looking projectiles or avoiding cliché'd death rays fired by cartoony bosses, you get to dodge a rattlesnake, run from a Gila monster, even make your protagonists battle each other twice.

I'd like to note though, the progressive acquisition of abilities is pretty awkward, since they would be present from the start in the real animals (enemies can use them from the beginning).

Also, with all the crawling on walls that goes on (and across ceilings for the tarantula), plus some alternate routes and side objectives, it can be easy to go dizzy and get lost at some parts. Frankly, I find that a lot of fun, but like with Okami, I understand it can annoy some.

Finally, in no particular order:

- the Legend of Spyro series (I just have the Eternal Night): the concept of a dragon main protagonist (like Blazing Dragons, which I watched gameplays of but haven't played)

- Super Mario Galaxy (I have #2): trippy gravity stuff, kinda dizzying (a bit like Deadly Creatures)

- Happy Feet 2: beat-based, also you get to recruit penguins (and beat bosses) by dancing, though I wish they used the motion-sensing and pointer more

Wow, that made me think.

Game: Mostly TF2, because of the great communities on there

Series: Fire emblem without a doubt. It's just that awesome.

Definitely Fallout for favourite series. And, of course, Fallout: New Vegas for favourite game. I liked 1 and 2, but New Vegas will always be my favourite.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. the old NES version that is.

search youtube, for the theme if you'd like. it's not the original theme, for the series, but it's still an epic theme none the less.

My favorite Game series has to be the Resident Evil series, from the bosses, the scares and the gameplay, these game never get old

and even though the series hasnt been up to par, the original games are still great to play.
