I once tried to make a rope lasso. It was pretty pathetic, as the rope kinda flopped around as I tried to make it spin. I think I'll leave the rodeo'ing to Applejack.

I found out why I love Applejack so much even though her type of character usually turns me off!

 

It is because of how strong she is. Her parents are dead. She does not let their loss get in the way of her daily life (like a lot of OCs with dead parents.) I doubt she cry herself to sleep every night, and she doesn't wallow at the loss of her parents. It doesn't mean she doesn't miss them because she does. I think the way she copes with the loss of her parents is by being involved in the family. She wants what is best for her family, even if she doesn't always do the right thing. I think the most that happened to her due to the loss of her parents is that she's overprotective of her family. We see her be overprotective of Apple Bloom in "Somepony to Watch Over Me." 

 

I think Big Mac took it the worst after losing his parents because he was the oldest and knew them the longest. He has a lot of memories of his parents. That is probably why he is shy and why he cried at the thought of losing Applejack. He spends most of his time working probably to deal with the loss of his parents. 

 

Apple Bloom doesn't seem effected by the loss of her parents because she was probably just a baby when they died. That is why she isn't as family orientated as her siblings. She doesn't know how it is to have parents, and it's hard to miss what you never or barely had. It doesn't mean she's bad. It just mean she never knew her parents to begin with. 

 

There may be a lot of headcanons in this. However, Applejack's parents are confirmed dead, and I am basing off their canon personalities on how they deal with their loss. Even though these are assumptions, it makes me really respect Applejack. 

 

I also like Big Mac and Apple Bloom, but this is the Applejack fan club, not the Apple Family fan club.

Don't judge a character on things that were fan made. I don't hate Applejack for being a slaughterer because she's not. I've seen a fanfiction where she was a rapist, but I don't hate her for that because it was a fanfiction, not canon. Applejack is single in canon. She is also honest. I thought she wasn't that honest until I actually tried to make a list of the moments she was honest. I got to Season 1 episode 4, then I gave up because the list was very long.

This is why Applejack deserves a lot more love than what she currently gets.
