Applejack often serves as a straight pony/ voice of reason when Twilight can't.

 

I think for this reason, Applejack doesn't get the zanier lines but proves you can be a great character by being passionate and committed to your work and family.

 

I was a teency bit wary of her at first cos I'm kind of liberal so I pretend that AJ is more progressive than he accent would suggest. Not you should ever judge someone from their accent.
