movies/tv What the BUCK is Nickelodeon doing?

Maybe they're making room for My Little Pony?

Okay, I know that this is a daft and absurd theory, considering what that channel is like, and considering what king of Dan Schneider "Comedy" shows are on that channel, but be honest: That would be the most awesomely awesome thing Nickelodeon has ever done!

It'd totally make up for every lame thing they've ever done! Except for censoring the Webicon episode of iCarly. That was unforgivable.

not to burst your bubble, but if you look around youtube, you will notice that nick jr. actually aired a few episodes of mlp:fim

DO NOT BUCK WITH ME, THIS IS FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY.

I have absolutely no hope of Nickelodeon EVER redeeming itself. Seeing all of the bland and annoying cartoons, and the even WORSE live action shows on there, Nickelodeon is officially at the bottom of the barrel. EVEN THE DISNEY CHANNEL was able to get better!

The only new Nickelodeon show I even remotely liked was T.U.F.F. PUPPY, and even then it wasn't that good anyway. It still had that F.O.P. feel to it. You DON'T want a F.O.P. feel to ANYTHING.

I honestly forgot I had nick on my cable. It's just one of those channels I skip now. I don't watch any of that "Victorious", and whatever happened to spongebob, it started to go downhill a while back. Haven't watched nick in a long time, but I'm guessing it has gotten worse? (I quit watching about when that Fanboy and Chumchum crap came around.)

Nick has just been screwing up everything. Canceling the best shows. However I do like how they put Drake and Josh on at around 8:00. But mostly I miss catscratch... :(

Spongebob has gone down the tubes. It used to be smart and funny, now it's rare that I get a laugh out of it with the newer episodes. And Fairly OddParents jumped the gun when Poof showed up. The only shows worth watching on the channel are iCarly and Avatar: The Last Airbender and Legend of Korra.

I will be the first to also admit that I prefer their premium channels more than the original channel. TeenNick's got Degrassi and some cheesy yet entertaining Australian teen dramas and reruns of the Amanda Show and iCarly (and The 90s are All That! after midnight), while NickToons have the popular cartoons and some old-school shows, as well. So they're kind of making some really crappy decisions with the channel.

That's why I consider The Hub for being the lone network to have all of my beloved cartoons of the past. I noticed this trend on Nickelodeon the minute they replaced the classic "splat" logo.

I knew this was the end of an era that day of my childhood... *sob*

Actually, Cartoon Network airs classic Tom and Jerry and classic Luney Toons during the week days. But besides those two? Nothing.

Mr Meaty revival is replacing their entire lineup. Bold move, but I think it will pay off in the long run. Gonna have tons of spinoffs and use the channel as sort of an umbrella Mr Meaty Universe venue with different shows following different characters and their journeys.

I miss the old Nickelodeon. Like, original older SpongeBobs, CatDog, Rugrats, etc. I dislike the new shows like Marvin marvin? And all the other bogus shows. Its the same as cartoon network..

I believe Marvin, Marvin is actually Disney Channel. I could be wrong, but I think that's Disney. Basically the Hub is the only channel with the good cartoons now, IMHO, let's see you have Pound Puppies, GI Joe, Friendship Is Magic, Littlest Pet Shop and now they are even showing Animaniacs right? I unfortunately don't get the Hub, But, I always loved Animaniacs on Kid's WB.AHHHHHH, Memories. I wish that they'd bring back all those good cartoons on Nick, CN and Disney channel.

Marvin marvin is on Nickelodeon because the Lucas kid or "Fred" is on that side. He did do those Fred movies and is now the Nick celebrity. I remember seeing the premiere after ICarly was done and thought that it was an odd show.

Anyone else remember Sarvo? Those guys were hilarious! No offense to Luke and Wyatt but they're just not funny .-.

But I agree on the situation, a lot of the best shows never show anymore :( Especially on Cartoon Network, Ren & Stimpy and Invader Zim were one of my most favorite shows before, but watching some episodes after a few years later I've realized how 'dark' and violent the shows were compared to the others.

Shows like Danny Phantom, Drake and Josh, Sarvo, CatDog, Rugratz, and All That were definitely the shows I watched everyday after school, it's such a shame they all had to stop.

They've been doing this for as long as I can remember. They'll advertise a new show that's coming for about six months to a year even. When it finally comes, [it'll usually suck anyway, but] there'll be like 1-3 episodes, and then it'll disappear, never to be seen or heard about again. I think this may be partially the fault of Viacom. They own Nickelodeon, and I've heard that that may be the reason why the longest running show on Nick is Spongebob.

SPONGEBOB WAS GOING TO BE AN ADULT SWIM SHOW, BUT NICK DECIDED AT THE LAST MINUTE, TO CHANGE IT INTO A KID SHOW. (and yet my cousin and i have both came to the conclusion that, if Nick EVER cancelled Spongebob, they would go bankrupt and die. mostly because at that time the only decent kid's show for the age that i was at that time was, indeed, Spongebob.) and before that, i thought Nickelodeon was taken off-air. whoops. guess i was wrong.
