Has anyone else played this?

 

It's a pokemon fire red MMORPG, it's really addicting, in the last two days I've got 15 hours of gameplay and already reached the elite four.

 

You can trade, duel or spectate other plays, or you can play the game normally just with other people around (which livens up the game imo)

Wow, this seems pretty awesome, might give it a go soon, I've always wanted a more multi-player Pokémon and not just battling over the internet so this should be good. One question though, do the extra players add much or any lag to the game? That is a potential downfall of MMOs but hopefully this is fine. XD

PDOD (Or Pokemon Dawn of Darkness) is much better. I've played both. There is no boost for shinys in PDOD, and it has less bugs, as it is farther through development. Plus, it takes much longer to complete. ~70 hours.

The game usually has 1000+ players online at once and has no lag (at least for me)

 

And loads of sprites on screen doesn't create any lag ( I had 50 players on screen at once with no lag)

Well that's sealed it i'll at least give it a try, maybe when I get started we could battle sometime It's still in it's beta stage right? If so it should get more awesome as it gets updated! (I'm getting too hyped and into a game I haven't even played yet  ... )

Actually it's in alpha, it was only publicly released in September so it will be getting better, they're currently working on making other regions available.

Why do everyone want a Pokemon MMO? I don't get it, what's so great about Pokemon being an MMO? Don't you think Pokemon is already kind of like an MMO? Because the pokemon world feels kind of empty, maybe it's just me but it felt really lonely, also even though there is online it's pretty terrible tbh, what with friend codes and such.

 

It's also fun to race through the game with friends.

Because. What's better than going on a Pokemon adventure than going on one with your friends? It just adds something more to the game. Something that's quite awesome if you ask me.

If you're planning on playing just one tip, don't ever accept random duel battles until you have level 70 pokemon, I learnt the hard way ;_;

Oh goodness. There's no rule set in to keep the high levels with the highs and lows with lows? That actually sounds kinda scary.

Nope, you'll see a few level 100 trainers in pallet town trying to make new players rage lol.

 

Oh, last thing, you can run by default.(took me ages to figure out :/ )

Yeah I still play, I need to be the elite four, and after that I'm gonna try and go for the PvP tourneys going on, of course I doubt I'd do any good xD.

They couldn't be that hard to compete with. I'm sure anyone could keep up with the right know how.

They are, they EV train their pokemon like crazy (something I never thought to do lol.)

 

Also to run it should be 'x' by default, but you can change your controls in settings.

That's something you're supposed to do for competitive battling anyway.

Eeyup. That's what happens when you don't know about them beforehand and then jump into some.

 

To keep this on topic, It seems pretty neat so far. haven't got far at all due to me bouncing around from different things, but I think it being online will be enough incentive to keep playing it till I finish at least.

D:) but that was before elite 4 was added, i might start paying again, although i wish it was ponymon. (Edit: If you guys didn't know, get the soulsilver/heartgold roms as well to have you pokemon follow you.) My ign is Brosparkles, if you can add me. (I forget if it had a friend function.)

Back when I played (October 2012) it told you the other trainers average pokemon level, so you shouldn't have to worry about that. EDIT: HOLY CUSTOMIZATION BATMAN! I'm no longer just generic trainer sprite! AND ELITE 4  (If any new players want some help or traded pokes, I can help you.)

Get a challenge from someone or make one only to find out they have super overleveled pokemon compared to yours.

 

Okies. I shouldn't need anything unless you just so happen to have some super low levels I could take off your hands.

I tried downloading it, but alas it did not work. I'll try again... right now, actually.

 

I'd pay money for this game if they included Hoenn in it.
