Your new villain ideas

I'd actually really like a trio of one relatively untalented unicorn, an extremely fast Pegasus and one incredibly strong Earth Pony who extort the Ponyville citizens by:

1. Pegasus causes storms and lightning to occur, but always out of view of the greater populace. Not very smart, but relatively mean-spirited prankster. Loudmouth. Extorts favors by chasing off the disguised Earth Pony.

2. Earth Pony is the Strongman and the surprising brain of the group. Extorts favors by chasing off the disguised Earth Pony.

3. The Unicorn feels relatively guilty about disguising the other two with his magic and allow them to cause chaos.

Have the Mane 6 redempt the unicorn, teaching the lesson that you shouldn't stick with a bad crowd.

(I apologize in advance for any typos. I suck.)

  • My friend and I were just discussing this the other week, and we eventually came to the dragon-king-dude idea. One of us (I forgot who), suggested that the king should be Spike's father (DRAMA.). Then we both agreed that if there is a dragon-king-dude, he needs to be voiced by Keith David. There is no other way.
  • Chrysalis should be a regular villain, and she should kill cats like she did in the IDW comic.
  • I always thought it'd be cool if there was a princess bad guy. And I dont mean like Princess Azula or anything, I mean like a character who at first comes off as a Disney Princess do-gooder, like Cadence, but is revealed to actually be a Lady Macbeth-esque villain that's been working behind the scenes to aquire power and upsurp Equestria/Griffon Kingdom/Aquastria/McDonalds or something. And the character we assumed was the main antagonist of the story? He's been working for her the whole time.

And I think we can all agree that at some point there needs to be a villain voiced by Mark Hamill. I don't care who it is. Whoever's voiced by him will automatically take a step in badass.

My idea for a new villain is a god of destruction, and is Discord's older brother. He is depicted as a dragon, and his role is similar to "Trigon" from Teen Titans or "Mehrunes Dagon" from The Elder Scrolls series. Of course, he'd have to be much less powerful than these two comparisons in order to remain in the show's limitations.

ok the best villan would be a really fluffy kitten, possibly with a cute name, but he hates to be called cute for example:

fluffykins: MWAHAHA i will destroy you all!

twilight: nooo your soooo cute and fluffy :3

fluffykins: no im scary

that sorta thing... he should look somethink like this

Your idea gave me an idea.

Princess Luna's apprentice.  Before she got banished, Luna had an apprentice.  This apprentice adored Luna.  But after she got banished, she was absolutely horrified.  She's a filly by the way.  And she was an orphan before being taken in by Luna.  She had no pony now, except for her.  Princess Celestia.  Who banished the darling Luna.

Somehow, (I don't know how!) she is still alive after all these years.  And she's seeking revenge on Princess Celestia for what she did.

In the end, she becomes reformed or something and Luna takes her back as her apprentice!

I'LL CALL HER, CONSTELLATION!

Aw man...that's my OC's backstory...

I'd also like a rather intellectual villain, actually. One similar to the likes of Dr. Eggman (Sonic the Hedgehog) and Dr. Hugo Strange (Batman).

How about a dark evil entity that escapes from the gates of Tatarus, a villain so evil, so sinister, so horribly vile, that even the utterance of his name strikes fear into the hearts of stallions, and the only safe way to refer to this king of darkness is simply..... Him.

I don't know about new villains per se, but I'd like to see Applejack, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, and Fluttershy  each meet a rival who challenges them in some way, similar to Trixie and Lightning Dust. I always enjoy a good rivalry storyline.

I kinda like the "sociopathic princess" Azula idea.

And the author of that book even died trying to mention his name.

Haven't I seen that before in older cartoons?

Ooh I'm loving all of these ideas! Especially the apprentice ones!

I think that maybe they should give Zecora a twin who really is the first impression that the ponies got when they first saw Zecora. Maybe like the witches from Spirited away. How they were sisters but one of them was evil. Maybe Zecora's twin (Zeborah) kidnaps and plans to eat the CMC. Give her a cool song too. O.O

What else...Not necessarily villains afterwards, but maybe ponies from another area decide to move near pony ville, and they try to block the train tracks because they say the noise bothers them? Or disrupts them in someway. But then the Mane 6 helps them find a better place, and that would be like Princess Twilight's first action as a royal.

If we're going with Big Bad Supervillain-type villains, I favor someone/something that doesn't have an obvious physical presence to retaliate against. Things in Equestria go...wrong. There's some kind of curse upon the land, they're up to their eyebrows in blizzard-causing wendigos, ponies' cutie-marks starting fading away, magic starts failing. That kind of intangible but all-too-horrible decline. So the ponies have do some searching to get at the root cause.

Alternatively, I'd be interested in a Zebra villain. Zebras don't seem to have any overt magic, but they (or Zecora anyway) seem to have a sort of subtle power. This more or less goes along with the idea of an enemy that doesn't directly strike at the ponies, but neither can effectively be attacked.

I actually came up with one while watching the PMV "Shy", and worked out a full episode for her in my head. Basically, Fluttershy finds this amulet, which brings out her dark side. Eventually her dark side becomes so powerful it separates from her and traps her inside it's own body. This new dark Fluttershy, Evilshy, has the power to shoot black smoke at other ponies and bring them under her own control. Her flaws are that she's still shy and can never hurt animals.

What do you think? :D

The brother of Celestia and Luna. His name from birth is Comet but h became corrupted by this shadow (a shadow is what I call a demon in the MLP universe) called Carnage which was imprisoned in this necklace. Carnage took over Comet and destroyed the life force from his mother then Comet was banished to the Tartarus not by his Celestia or Luna but by his father. To long story short he decides to rule Tartarus and plotting to destroy his sisters and our heros and take over the world. He also renamed himself Lord Holocaust.

He's still a work in progress.

I think that we should see a new spirit like villain posses one of the mane six (not Twilight) and use them to carry out all the plans that they have. The mane six will eventually realise what is going on and race against a certain time limit to free the possessed member of the mane six. Once they are freed, all the mane six work together to take down this villain.

@@AppleCrackers,

Hi :) Just letting you know that I've combined your thread on villain ideas with this older one on villain ideas. This means all the responses can be in the same thread, for everyone's convenience. Thanks ^^

I'm sure this won't happen since it's a kids show, but an organization would be a great opponent.

We discover its existence during the season premiere, then the members of the organization one by one during the season, and they are eventually defeated at the season finale.

The boss of the organization would make his appearance at the end of the season.

I'd love to see a griffon villain (no, Gilda doesn't count in my book). His backstory would have him originally being a member of the Griffonia high council. He would then be corrupted by dark magic, make his own kingdom, and convert other griffons with his power to be a part of his people, and also turn against Griffonia's high rulers. After that, he would form a coup d'etat and try to take over Griffonia as his own. When Griffonia's forces were unable to stop him, they ask for Celestia's aid in stopping the dark griffon and his forces. Ultimately, Celestia defeats him and his brethren.

Now recently, the dark griffon returns, but not as his normal physical self, but more as a black ghostly figure. He not only wants to find a spell that can bring him back to his normal self, but take revenge on Celestia and all of Equestria for the defeat she put him through.

You mean a secret organization with ambiguous goals that have a wide collection of personalities and are lead by a super bad ass guy who has the voice comparable to Morgan Freeman.

Actually I like that idea a lot. Like I wanted to make an organization thirteen joke but for real a story arc involving a band of baddies as dynamic as the main cast sounds flipping epic. Probably not going to happen season five, but that idea really is awesome.

There is nothing more painfully delicious than betrayal.  Especially if this specific individual is showed a power he has never saw in his life to point of paralyzing awe and invigoration to reawaken an inner demon for absolute control of power and live along with the spread of corruption, pain, and misery for shear enjoyment to types of society's of pure friendship, love, and harmony that makes him sick to stomach in disgust and boredom.  So to ensure his ambitions are achieved is to begin a play of worms that will involve lyses, shattered hearts, and madness to his twisted little game to topple the thrones to be the one divine power of Equestria or perhaps the world/worlds in his image.

I'd like a villain who's immune to the Elements of Harmony. That would be cool in my opinion.

Technically, Sombra's curse on the Empire was "banishment insurance" that made the Elements too risky (which was likely why nopony just brought those instead of the Heart).

How about a 4th of July villain?

He dresses like Uncle Sam,uses fireworks as weapons, has a quirky attitude, and is a bank robber.

A Big Bad who gathers the other villains to form the Elements of Antagony, with each member representing the opposite of the Elements of Harmony.

I'd even go so far for there to be SEVEN villains to represent sins and be more challenging, but there's no way Hasbro would let us go there.
