Looking for Feedback On Your Music? Look No Further!

Hello, everypony! My name is Nikki, and I'm here to help those who seek feedback and constructive criticism on their music.

Simply post a link to whatever song you want critiqued, and I will reply with an in-depth analysis of what I think of it, as well as what I think you could do to improve it.

Please keep in mind though, I am by no means a music professional, and most of what I say will be my own opinion. Though, I will try to remain as neutral as I can. Just take everything I say with a grain of salt, okay? ^_^

Why not. I made this song a while ago and I would love some more pointers on it and stuff.

I know I am no expert but everyone starts somewhere

Alright! First critique!! Here I goooooooooooo!!

First off, your piece has some very well composed melodies. The piano is both well written and well mixed. The only thing I'd change about the piano is the little build that occurs twice in the song. That kind of build is better suited for percussive elements, and it doesn't really lead into anything. If you're going to build tension like that, I think it's best if you follow through with something that releases tension, not just more build up.

Second, your drums are a bit weak. I'd recommend turning them up a tad. Also, your clap sample could really use some reverb. Other than that though, they sound fine. The actual rhythms used fit the song quite well.

Finally, your overall song structure flows well from one idea to the next, but seems rather ill-defined. I'd recommend putting in more transitional effects to help define each section of the song.

Overall, I really like this piece! But then again, I'm a sucker for piano-driven music. XP

I hope this helps!
