That was me last summer! Haha. It was also the time I found this forum and got involved in our MLPF World Cup, so I was working on WC stuff for a month straight with no job or friends to hang out with or Netflix to watch! It was a loooooong summer...especially after the WC finished!

We'd see Tom Snyder (better known as Candy Star) around the RDFC, but, unfortunately, things didn't work out for him at MLP Forums.  He liked to game and wrote fanfics (I would talk to him about whatever piece he was working on), and I'd really only just started getting to know the guy here.

Since he can't say his own farewells, he asked if I would say them for him.  As well as say, specifically:

 

"Thanks for all the fun and your support."

Although I would think that she should slice off a chunk instead of just kicking it...I guess RD has awsome pegasus magic in order to kick it on one side and cut the cloud in two, from a different spot than where she kicked it.

Rainbow, partly due to instinct and partly due to skill and experience, knows the exact pressure point at which to deliver a kick in order to free whatever portion she intends from the cloud as a whole.

I just kicked it.

But...  I'm sure that the process was more involved than that.

I kicked it really good.  It's not rocket science, Ziggy.

Although Pegasi have magic, like unicorns, they use it almost without thinking about it. They just do whatever needs to be done, and don't fuss over the details, like the unicorns do.

1. My being well beyond the point of having fallen hopelessly hopefully (new and preferred take on the expression) in love with a sky-blue pegasus woman.  She was always beautiful, but it's entirely possible that I'm simply incapable of discerning her as otherwise.

2. "At this point" was also a bit of verbal insurance.  Something I put there in anticipation of something else.  As is the case with insurance, it isn't always necessary.

Straws are very useful for earth ponies and pegasi that can't lift handleless cups easily.

 

Also, even though Rainbow is cute eating, Twilight eating at the Hay Burger is still cuter. Nothing against Rainbow Dash personally, of course.
