"You said that to me when you first met me."

He chuckled a little, letting go of his nervousness slowly, moving just a little closer to her.

"Don't worry. I just have grown... insecure... I still haven't fully opened up, but trust me, I'm trying to. That's why I came here."

Snow felt her heart jolt when he moved closer. She felt all giddy inside. "Well, i hope im helping." Snow snuggled into Nightfall wrapping her arms around one of his fore-legs. She then let out a content sigh. It felt good to have somepony there just to lean on for no reason what so ever.

He finally finished his song, his emotions being washed out. "Well, I hoped you liked that song. You've ben the first pony inn well, a while, to listen to me practice and play with emotion. I'm not entirly sure if you understood, but oh well." He said, smiling from letting the emotions go. "I gurantee, I'm a bit less cranky now. If you have other friends, well, I can see why you'd rather hang out with them then me, but before you go, I mean, if you go," he said, half-hoping she would stay so he would have a friend. "Did you understand my emotions? Or was that.just.another song?" He asked.

Moonstruck opened her eyes, and looked at Slide, a slightly surprised look crossing her face. "I understood. I've never heard somepony express themselves so well without words before." She was smiling. "It was wonderful," she said airily. "You should play your feelings all the time."

He blushed a little, then leaned as far into Snow as he felt like he could without knocking her over.

"But I'm getting more happy right now. And I'm sure it's all thanks to you."

"But...it's..." he sighed. "Well, I guess I have to tell you now, or else you'll wonder why I ran away to do so." He let out a sigh before beginning. "You can't tell anypony else, okay? Well, I've always seen feelings as a weakness...I've never wanted anypony to know how I was feeling or what I thought. It made me vulnerable to harm, which is why I trusted my feeling only with an inanimate object. I never wanted anypony to know who I was, in fear of being hurt again, like I was when I was a young colt. That's why I tried to get you to leave, but....you understand. And you, well appreciate it, appreciate...me." He said, stopping. He then whispered,.so only he could hear himself talk. "And I guess that's why I love you."

"You are helping... well, right now you are. When you were joking, it almost didn't help..."

He blushed a little, then leaned as far into Snow as he felt like he could without knocking her over.

"But I'm getting more happy right now. And I'm sure it's all thanks to you."

Snow looked up at Nightfall, her expression blank again. After hesitating for a moment she began to slowly lean in to him. Snow froze when her muzzle was not even an inch from his and she just stared into his eyes. She slowly let out a breath she realized she was holding, still not moving an inch. Her body ached with anticipation.

Snow looked up at Nightfall, her expression blank again. After hesitating for a moment she began to slowly lean in to him. Snow froze when her muzzle was not even an inch from his and she just stared into his eyes. She slowly let out a breath she realized she was holding, still not moving an inch. Her body ached with anticipation.

 

He told himself he didn't want a rush, but she had started leaning into him now. He tried brushing away the bad experiences as he completed the movement and kissed Snow, softly. It wasn't too long before he broke the kiss, but he had kissed her. He blushed only slightly.

"...I'm not feeling uncomfortable at all...", Rockshire said, sitting down next to Splinter. "But.. If you don't want me to, well, make this entire thing awkward, then you can just say I can leave... I mean, I don't mind at all."

 

Poor thing. He's probably going to explode from me just being here...

Snow felt the kiss. It felt strangly distant to her for some reason, almost like she was dreaming it. She continued to stare at Nightfall with the same expressionless face she had been holding for some time now. She tried to formulate thoughts but kept drawing blanks in her mind. It took Snow a while but she finally moved her fore-leg. Nothing much. Snow finally hugged Nightfall almost knocking them over.

Fortunately for Slide, Moonstruck did not detect his silent soliloquy. She was too busy contemplating what he had meant her to hear. Smiling sadly, she moved to sit at his side rather than across from him. "Well, you're awfully brave to admit something like this to somepony you just met." She looked up, and mumbled something that sounded like, "Ardor would be proud."

He finally got the courage to finish his sentence. Well, maybe it's just that I trust, and well," he blushed a bit, "and like the pony I just met." He said, letting her hear it this time.

"Uh, no, it was what I said...", Rockshire said, as her blush grew bigger than Splinter's.

 

*Great... It's a blushing battle.*

 

"I sort of said... That we were... Friends... Already..." That made her blush grow twice her normal blush as it is.

 

*Why am I so god dang nervous right now? Why?!*

Moonstruck's eyes grew wide in surprise, adding to their pale protuberance, magnifying her air of dottiness.  It was almost as if she was surprised that anypony could possibly like her. Well, she reflected, if he wasn't just making fun of her and actually did like her, he probably wouldn't for long. They never did.

 

After a second, or perhaps an eternity, something in her demeanor suddenly solidified, and she peered at him thoughtfully. "You're making fun of me." Her tone was not cold or accusatory, merely matter-of-fact. 

"No, I promise, I'm not." He said, trying not to lose her. "I know I don't know you well but...the fact that you understand me, snd understand my music, I can't see how I could love any other mare. Please, just, give me a try. I really think I like you, I promise, I'll be kind to you, and everything."

 

(Yeah, I think that's my last post for tonight.)

"I don't know if it's love or what, Snow, but... I do think I like you. I'd need more time to make sure, but I think I really do like you."

"Just forget the past 'loves.' They weren't loves, anyway."
