Slide walked over to Rockshire, Snow following him. "Hello," Slide said. "You must be the hostess, Rockshire. This is quite a lovely place you've got here. I love everything about it. How did you get everything in this house to be so...perfect?" He asked. 'Stallion, she's even prettier up close!'

Slide walked over to Rockshire, Snow following him. "Hello," Slide said. "You must be the hostess, Rockshire. This is quite a lovely place you've got here. I love everything about it. How did you get everything in this house to be so...perfect?" He asked. 'Stallion, she's even prettier up close!'

 

Rockshire now noticed the two others walking up to her, and smiled. "Indeed you're correct. And well... It's not a house. It's a cave, silly. I have this connected to my house at the top of this cliff. But, other than that, this is my other home.", she said with a smile. "And, it wasn't easy. So many levitating spells to perfect to get the decorations up here and there."

''Wait a minute.. Oh! I see what you mean? I guess I better get reading.'' Splinter said while grinning and flipping the page again. ''You know, this is the most fun I've had in a while. It's not as upbeat as anything else, but it's really fun.'' Splinter said while flipping another page.

((I apologise for my absense. I've been doing literally nothing but playing Civ V for the last few days.))

 

Moonstruck smiled. "I'm glad you're having fun, even if it's not in an upbeat way." She tucked her drawings away again, evidently unable to decide whether she was going to work or socialise. She stood and looked around the room again vaguely.

''I'm probably going to stay awake for a week in a light room. You're book is amazing, but at the same time.. It's perfect nightmare fuel.'' Splinter said while looking down from the book and sweating but at the same time, smiling. ''I like that.'' Splinter had said while looking into his book again and realizing he was almost already halfway through the book.

((Yeah, I'm gonna be gone most of today, too. Season 3 Finale Party on campus. People coming to Raleigh from as far as Winston-Salem, Fayetteville, and Asheville to celebrate.))

 

"I'm glad you like it," Moonstruck said contentedly, before trotting away towards where Rockshire stood now. They hadn't had a chance to talk earlier, and Rockshire looked far less awkward now, even though she was still talking to somepony.

Star led Light a little deeper into the water to where they could both just touch. She face him then stroked his make and kissed him just like before. she pulled away and smiled. "I think that's a proper answer." She winked as the water splashed around them.

Light laid on the beach with his hoofs dangling in the air and his wings completely spread out, breathing heavily. *note to self: never mention this to Snow* he thought to himself. He was vaguely aware that Star was next to him and he looked over to see her. "So..." Light said breathlessly. He tried to think of other things to say but couldnt.

 

Slide walked over to Rockshire, Snow following him. "Hello," Slide said. "You must be the hostess, Rockshire. This is quite a lovely place you've got here. I love everything about it. How did you get everything in this house to be so...perfect?" He asked. 'Stallion, she's even prettier up close!'

Snow sneaked an annoyed look behind Slide's back as she followed him over to Rockshire. When he began to converse with her, Snow could see his eyes light up just looking at her.

Snow decided it was her turn to talk, "Well you certainly did an excellent job on it, thats for sure. Do you throw parties often or is this just a one time thing that you just happen to do?" Snow asked obviously curious.

Nightfall walked back into the actual room to see if anyone was there. He had been alone the whole party and had been soaking in a personal steam bath for a lot of that time. He wasn't soaking anymore, except for his tail, which was still damp. He grabbed yet another drink and sat down, looking at everyone else in the crowd.

Star chuckled. "So........this probably wasn't the best place to do ...it...considering we're at a party...but I think we got away with it." She said, nuzzling his neck and cuddling up a little closer. "Light...I love you." She said, closing her eyes. "I was debating whether to even come to this party or not and I am so happy I decided too come."

"Well, of course I'm having fun! I mean, it IS my party after all!", Rockshire said, looking over at Slide. "I'm sorry... But, I don't think I can remember your name off the top of my head... Would you mind refreshing my memory for just this quick little moment, please?", she asked, a bit saddened to forget his name.

''Eh, goodbye then!'' Splinter said while noticing Moon had trotted away. ''Damn, I could really use a shot of cider right now..'' Splinter said with a pain in his throat and drinking more of the punch. ''I'm not sure if I should follow her or not.'' Splinter said while thinking about what he could do. ''Meh. I'll probably just secretly follow her in a couple of minutes.''

Star smiled as he hugged her so she hugged him back. "We should probably get back inside to everypony else." She said, nuzzling him one more time before pushing herself up into a standing position. She held out one of her hooves to help him get up as well.

Nightfall closed his eyes for a second, then got up, walking over towards Rockshire. So far, he hadn't interacted with anyone but her, and he need to get to at least know so done else if the point of this party was knowing others. He waited patiently, standing barely in her point of view so he wouldn't seem like a distraction.

"I'm uh, Slide Grease," he said, starting to get nervous. He was around her. He also was aroud ponies. Ponie swho hated him. 'Now would be a really good time to run away.' "You can call me Slide, for short..." he added. 'I need to get away from this. Just find that room, er, cave, I put Turner in, and leave everypony be.'

 

"I, um, have to go tk the bathroom. I'll be back." He said, knowing it was a lame excuse. He casually walked to the room he had left his trombone in, closed the door (if there is one) and opened his case.

 

And then he began to play. He played his feelings, about being alone, and having no pony to talk to. It felt good letting it all out and away from inside. He just hoped nopony found him. They hated him enough....

 

(Note: feel free to discover Slide anytime, especially if you want an emotional moment. )

Moonstruck was standing near the group, although they seemed to have subconsciously closed to exclude her. Not that she really minded. She was used to it, really. She just stood there, watching them distantly, and was interested to see one of the ponies detach himself and run a little deeper into the cavern. At the provocation of a mild curiousity that may have been in part inspired by a slight boredom, she followed him, pausing just outside the mouth of the cavern she sensed he had stopped in. A pitiful, yet beautiful trombone solo was just audible, echoes resounding in a heavenly chorus. Moonstruck poked her head around the entrance to see the pony with his eyes firmly shut, as if he were hiding from something. 

 

She trotted slowly into the room, her hoofsteps echoing loudly in tempo to the song, and sitting, merely scanned the rather becoming brown earth pony with those great pale orbs of hers. She was sure he knew she was there. It was hard to walk quietly in this place.

Splinter trotted around for a while without a word from anypony at all. ''For Celestia's sake, I go from one to none in immediately a span of 5 seconds. I should start writing this stuff down. These might be records for shortest spans of having somepony to talk to.'' Splinter said to himself while pulling out a small bottle filled with cider. ''Ah, good ol' Steve.'' Splinter said while grinning smugly and beginning to drink from the bottle. 

((OOC: So, Splinter gets drunk. :I I really don't know what else to do anymore.))

Star's smile widened as they intertwined tails, she happily led him back into the cave and looked around, the music playing was kinda slow for partner dancing, so Star faced Light and said. "I have something that will liven this place up a bit...Wait here." And with that, she happily skipped over to the music machine. She requested a song and quickly trotted back over to Light. She took him by the hoof and led him out to the middle of the dance floor. "You never know...maybe we can get everypony else to start dancing."

He blushed a little, noticing this mare was different from the others. He wondered why she had no mane, but didn't say anything else other than his barely audible greeting.

Rockshire looked a bit confused when Slide had left, and then Snow leaving her as well, lowering her mood.

 

Now they're gone... *sighs* What am I doing wrong? I figured everyone would want to talk to me... Oh well. 

 

She grabbed another cupful of punch, sipping it a little, before seeing a stallion who looked... drunk. 

 

Wait... I didn't put out any alcohol... Did he find my small stash of hard cider?!

Slide played, but suddenly found a sound interupting him. 'It sound like hoofsteps..but that can't be...nopony followed me, I'm sure...' He opened his eyes and saw a mare in front of him. He quickly dropped his trombone, knowing that he couldn't let his feelings be heard. "What are you doing here?" He asked, somewhat sternly.

''Ah..'' Splinter said while his grin grew and he stuffed the bottle back in his saddlebag. He noticed various mares and colts staring at him. ''What?! You've never seen a drunk colt before?'' Splinter yelled before quieting down and falling against a wall. ''For Celestia's sake.. Some ponies just can't get over the fact I drink some cider.'' Splinter said while rolling his eyes and realizing his head began to hurt. ''Ah, god. How much of that bottle did I drink?''

Rockshire ran over to him, a bit mad and a bit concerned about this colt. She pulled up a chair thanks to her magic, sitting the drunkard in it, and positioned him to where he wouldn't fall over and pass out.

 

"Hey, are you OK? How did you even get any alcohol? I never put any out...", she said, now regretting hiding that bottle inside a fake stalagmite in the cave...
