[Marathon 562]

Nightfall noticed something about Snow fidgeting, and remembered the fiasco.

"Are- are you ok? Are you sure about this?"

He stepped back for a second, lifting his right hoof into the air as if to start backing away at any explosion of feeling.

"I- I don't want to..."

Snows tail swished back and forth with understanding. "Hurt me?" She finished his sentence. "Yeah, i... No. No i guess its a little fast." Snow said with a small smile. "Uhh, thanks for ummm.... Thanks for asking. I probably would've flipped out at the last second." She said rubbing the back of her neck. Snow looked up at Nightfall and gave him a reassuring smile.

Snows tail swished back and forth with understanding. "Hurt me?" She finished his sentence. "Yeah, i... No. No i guess its a little fast." Snow said with a small smile. "Uhh, thanks for ummm.... "I tried going fast once. It all ended up backfiring in my face, and I felt like everything was my fault for so many days... It hurt badly. I don't want to relive that."

He shuddered a little, sitting down at the edge of the steam pool and let his back hooves drop in it.

'Friends? Seeing as she...oh, grat, she's the only one here. The way her eyes sparkled in interest, though.'

 

"Hey, wait!" He called. "Listen, I'm sorru. I'm just not used to ponies....not hating me." He said honestly. "Listen, at least tell me your name." He asked.

Star kissed him back but not for long considering they were the only two ponies in the air...she didn't want to cause a commotion or something. "I told you." She said, smiling. "My friend is an expert flyer and he is always teaching me tricks and stuff." She said.

Light pondered this. "Anything that can clear the sky of clouds quickly?" he asked quickly.

 

"I tried going fast once. It all ended up backfiring in my face, and I felt like everything was my fault for so many days... It hurt badly. I don't want to relive that."

He shuddered a little, sitting down at the edge of the steam pool and let his back hooves drop in it.

"Hey, wait!" He called. "Listen, I'm sorru. I'm just not used to ponies....not hating me." He said honestly. "Listen, at least tell me your name." He asked.

As requested, Moonstruck paused, and whipping her mane out of her eyes, looked back over her shoulder at the slightly abashed colt. "My name? My name... Is Moonstruck." Both her voice and demeanour was somewhat hesitant; in fact, she seemed to be hovering in a complete indecision at the threshold of the room, not sure whether to leave or not, whether her presence was desired or not.

Light pondered this. "Anything that can clear the sky of clouds quickly?" he asked quickly.

 

A saddened expression formed on Snows face while Nightfall talked. She hopped out of the spring and laid next to him. "Its ok, i understand." Snow thought for a second collecting her thoughts. "We can take it slow, i dont mind." she said looking at Night with a blank expression.

Star thought for a moment before saying. "He never really said anything to me...but if you two were to meet I am sure he would have some tips. He had been clearing clouds for a really long before he got into performance flying." She said, looking down at the ground then back up at Light.

He looked at her. He didn't want a serious relationship, but he pondered over it for several minutes before he attempted to say anything.

"Even then... if you don't mind... I don't want to get, um... serious... Well, not too serious. But, you know, like, um..."

He blushed again.

Snow kept her blank expression, but her tail betrayed her, flicking with disappointment. Without another word, Snow stood and began to slowly trot back to the party. *Guess im going to have to see about the next pony. Why does no one ever want a real relationship?* Snow stole another peek at Nightfall from behind her shoulder then continued back to the party.

''Sure as hell I'm stressed!'' Splinter said quickly. ''Oh, um. Sorry bout' that.'' Splinter said while shrugging. ''I never meet anyone at these kind of parties. I think it's because of my unusual way of behaving at parties.'' Splinter said while his head stopped hurting. ''Ah, that's better.''

((OOC: Sorry to have kept you waiting. Went to a friends place, and bucking stayed up till like, 6 AM, and I can't even tell where this is all going.))

"Sorry for shoving you away, Moonstruck," he said, trying to use her name. "I guess I do.need the company." He then begano pull his instrument up, but he stopped. "I'm Slide Grease, by the way. If that's too much for you to say, then just call me Slide." He then added. "I'm probably going to play a lot. It helps....get all of the crap in life out. It's like talking to a best friend, except my friend is a trombone...." he said. "If you're lucky, you may even be able to understand the language of music," he finished. He then began to play, playong his emotions of loneliness and regret for shutting ponies out.

 

(OOC: Not sure what song he is playing, so I just describe it a bit...)

A wide smile lit Moonstruck's face for the slightest moment, before being replaced by her usual vague one. She trotted back into the cavern, still somewhat hesitantly, as though expecting to be requested to leave again, and when no request came, sat down where she had been before and listened politely to Slide's performance, swaying slightly in rhythm, eyes closed.

He finally finished his song, his emotions being washed out. "Well, I hoped you liked that song. You've ben the first pony inn well, a while, to listen to me practice and play with emotion. I'm not entirly sure if you understood, but oh well." He said, smiling from letting the emotions go. "I gurantee, I'm a bit less cranky now. If you have other friends, well, I can see why you'd rather hang out with them then me, but before you go, I mean, if you go," he said, half-hoping she would stay so he would have a friend. "Did you understand my emotions? Or was that.just.another song?" He asked.

He chuckled a little, letting go of his nervousness slowly, moving just a little closer to her.

"Don't worry. I just have grown... insecure... I still haven't fully opened up, but trust me, I'm trying to. That's why I came here."
