I find the whole NLR vs. SE very entertaining, so if you wouldn't mind could you leave your thoughts here?

Also, if the mane 6 somehow got wrapped up in this, who would they side with? Who would be more succesful?

 

I personally like Luna... because let's face it, Celestia's a troll.

I read the version which tells that Princess Luna declared her vassalage of the Lunar Republic to make ponies and the creature of Everfree (or any race) live together in peace. In that case, I believe the Mane Six are separated as follows :

 

Lunar Republic.

 

• Applejack. Applejack is the Element of Honesty. She has a strong believe on what is right and wrong. From what she has experienced in Appleloosa, I bet she wants to live in peace with any other race.
• Fluttershy. Element of Kindness and an animal lover. That's enough reason for her to follow Luna.
• Rarity. I honestly have no exact idea. I believe that there are three Mane Six in each faction, and Pinkie follows Celestia, so Rarity is left to Luna. Though, I think Rarity will stay in Canterlot because she likes the formal live. Still, have no idea.

 

Solar Empire.

 

• Twilight Sparkle. Faithful student of Celestia. Why betraying?
• Rainbow Dash. Element of Loyalty is enough reason not to betray Celestia.
• Pinkie Pie. Best friend of Dashie. I think she wants to bring peace back to Equestria by taking down the rebellion. I have other reasons, but I forget the rest. Dang it.

 

There are many other reasons, like why Rarity follows Luna, etc, but I can't remember.

As much as I love how Celestia is like the moral basis of the show...I'm Night Shine for a reason, and that isn't because I like to be awake during the day. I'm obsessed with stars, nighttime, and nocturnality, and Luna is my favorite pony.

I support the Equestrian Kingdom and peaceful co-rule of both sisters. The whole Luna vs Celestia thing is ridiculous. Of course I like to troll Lunapublicans since they're more rabid and obnoxious than the Solar Empire supporters. Personally I'm more interested in the fight between the Chrysalis Hive and the Changeling Revolutionary Movement, but that's a story for another time.

Now the reason why I have seperated this poll into two Questions is because there are fans, like me, that don't see the sisters are against each other. As such I feel it is only fair that the poll allows fans to show their support of both sisters and their right to rule, not choose just one. In turn I have provided a third option for those that do not wish to support either the Solar Empire and the Lunar Republic, one that seeks to keep harmony in the land.

The Guardians of Harmony is a faction I created as my "Take a Third Option", in such a setting in which the sisters are for whatever reason opposed. A group originally created by Princess Celestia after the banishment of Nightmare Moon with the direction to be protectors of Equestria.

They are to obey her orders until such a time as either her sister Luna can return to her rightful place by her side in which case the Guardians are to obey the both of them or if for whatever reason the royal family were to become a threat to Equestria... they are to obey the orders of those that wield the Elements of Harmony.

In this case this means that if the Solar Empire and Lunar Republic was to actually come into existence and the sisters were behind these groups, the Guardians of Harmony would obey the orders of Twilight and her friends. If on the other hoof Celestia and Luna are not oppose or behind the conflict between the groups the Solar Empire and Lunar Republic those that wield the Elements of Harmony would be their generals.

Interesting. I too don't see Equestria ever being in such a state. But if it came down to it I'd have to side with Celestia. There was talk about this new faction led by Princess Twilight. But i don't really see Twilight ever distancing herself from Celestia for that to be possible. And Cadence... I don't even see a separate faction. It is apparent that they are all in the same family and royal house. Wouldn't make sense. I couldn't side with the Guardians if it means that eventually you'd be going against Celestia.

With the factions, I'd support House Earthborn because Applejack is best pony because it is large and holds good territory, making it a tough nut to crack, even without its strong military. Applejack, despite her worrying racism against unicorns, is one of the more sane leaders, it seems, and the One True Sight is a very useful ability to have on your side.

The goal of the Guardians would be for the conflict to be stopped and for the sisters to work things out... or find out who is really behind the Solar Empire and Luna Republic, As such it is because the Guardians respect the princesses position as rulers in addition to wanting to prevent war that they would stand against the sisters if they bring conflict.

 

Though it would be hard for her... I personally feel Twilight Sparkle would be willing to help lead the Guardians of Harmony.

The second one was hard -- I would have gone luna a while back but now I would follow the mane 6 and went the third choice.

 

I went with the cult of laughter in the last choice.  It is really the only way to bring things back together.  If I thought there was really no way to bring things back together then I would probably side with Dash.

Okay, I read over your factions for equestria divided.  They make my vote completely irrelevant because all of the factions listed there make the politicians (EITHER PARTY) of the USA preferable to what is being shown there.

Not my setting actually, this idea is a creation of Pooryorickda on Deviantart, I have simply used it to create a roleplay.

 

The point not that any one group is more right then another, they are all wrong, but which one do you like the most/find the coolest... or perhaps which one would one of your OCs be a part of?
