Commander_PonyShep 349 February 27, 2013 Share February 27, 2013 Whenever people come up with theories for Season Four that contradict my own, I often take them as fact when I shouldn't. It's like this with Princess Twilicorn; every time I think that the writers will find a way to return Twilight into a unicorn, someone is always countering that point by saying that Twilight will remain an alicorn, even though Season Four isn't even out yet, not until this upcoming Fall 2013. And, when I listen to their theories, I take them as facts when I shouldn't, and even overreact to them by making my own theories look like facts when they aren't. People initially thought Twilight becoming an Alicorn princess was just a rumor.. Surprise Surprise. Ultimately the way you think on the situation will be (usually) a reflection of what you want Twilight to be. If you want Twilight to be a unicorn again then you will ultimately support ideas and suggestions that support that. There are others who believe that Twilight will remain a princess alicorn and have their suggestions ideas and theories to support it. You will not be able to discern facts from rumors until a few months from now when season 4 is out. It all comes down to what you want Twilight to be. Don't regard anything anyone says as true, because they probably don't know. That's probably also why there is so much. Having so few "facts" at hand, almost anything is possible with Alicorn Twilight. Meghan McCarthy stated that this is a 3-parter, but who tells us the 2 other parts will be S4 opening? Meghan only said we won't see the rest for a while. We know that they have included Alicorn Twilight into writing, but for how long? The first 2 episodes, the first half of the season, or the whole season? I think every Alicorn Twilight thread here has to be taken as pure speculation as we have no concrete information about her. After that you make your own theory about how it will be like. However I'm sure that if you give it time for the writers to figure out exactly what THEY are going to do you will be pleasantly surprised by the outcome of the opening of season 4 when it comes out. It's not like this is a documentary. The producers could decide to randomly turn all the ponies into timberwolves at the begining of Season 4, and never change them back. It's all made up. Citing sources is the important thing when it comes to discussing the show. Fan theories are fun and sometimes believable, but hard evidence trumps everything. I'm glad you found humor in that, but I was being genuine. The last time we didn't have faith in the writers, the fandom almost tore itself apart. Anyway, I never said we should take everything the staffers say as truth, but we should at least consider them. Even word from staffers/voice actors on the show, who may be contractually obliged to *not* give away accurate details. So the only way to really, conclusively determine rumors from fact? Zygen 6,066 February 27, 2013 Share February 27, 2013 Really and truly its way to early for anyone to actual have hard facts on what'll happen in S4, we can speculate all we want, but we don't really know for sure. We just have to wait for atleast closer to S4, if not actual S4, Rumors that are more solid may come out closer to S4's release, but in the end the only true way to know is when S4 actually comes. Anythings possible really, but whatever happens I just hope the the show continues to be awesome, thats all I ask for, Twilicorn or not. Thanks to Gone Airbourne for the awesome sig! Right? Sorta. It's fine to speculate, to come up with ideas, to think about what *might* happen. It's how a lot of fan-fiction gets written. It's the reading of speculation as if it is something other than speculation. Getting so personally invested in the speculation that you have trouble handling the fact that it's just guessing. This is something that has happened a lot in the Star Trek and Star Wars fandom. Talk to an older Star Wars fan about the 'expanded universe' and the fandom angst that just got rekindled around it due to Disney's recent announcements. You want to talk about denial? That's denial.
