I looked the same words as the title up, and I find your lack of conversations about this disturbing.

Anywho, does anyone remember this old jewel(s)

Which did you prefer?

What class did you use the most?

I honestly preferred 1, just was more nostalgic and less complicated.

And I usually used Infantary and Pilot/Healer classes.

I liked 1, too, but 2 had a lot of things I really enjoyed, as well.

For me, I used the infantry class the most. Other than that, I pretty much just randomly picked a class and had fun.

But, man, it's been, like, 3 years since I've played either of those. They were great games when I was bored.

I have both.

I can't exactly remember which, but one game had better story campaigns, and the other one had better random matches. I think the first one was the one that had the better story campaign thingies, I haven't played either of them for a while though.

I always went for either the Clones, or the Empire. I remember usually either being standard infantry, sniper, or the bloke with the jet-pack.

I played Battlefront 2 and I played as the Engineer (shotguns!)

In space, I would destroy your frigates, go into your ship and destroy inside systems and then steal a scout fighter and destroy your space fleet.

The 2nd had the better story, and the first had little to no story

And the 2nd did indeed have better one time matches, especially in places like the Dune Sea(Tusken Raiders,Sarlaac,Epic Vehicles)

I enjoyed Battlefront 2. I usually played whichever class I felt like playing. I never had a specific one I liked the most. I wanted to play them all! I always enjoyed playing online. Doing space battles. Having epic battles between all the main characters from Star Wars. Especially in Mos Eisly. I just enjoy it when I'm battling other heroes and villains with the cantina music playing in the background.

I'm hoping that maybe with Disney acquiring Lucas Films and it's properties, that maybe, just maybe, we will see Battlefront 3. But it is only a fools hope.

I remember the creators of the game saying that is was 75% done then went bankrupt they asked the company for more money but I  they said something along the lines of it was no where near 75% done. I don't think we will be seeing a new battlefront for a while :(

With Disney now making three more Star Wars films, we could well have SW:BF3 and Star Wars levels in Kingdom Hearts.

The Mos Eisley level was great. You never tire of seeing 3 Chewbaccas on fire.

Oh my god.

This game was my childhood. Such a shame they aren't making them any more.

I remember the first time I played the campaign all the way through, it gave me such a great feeling, and when I discovered hunt mode for the first time, ohhh...

Thank you OP, you've really brought back some great memories.

Oh those games, how I loved them. I think I liked 2 the best. Space combat and you can play as Jedi/Sith. If only they'd make a 3rd. I mean with three new movies bout to come out it would be the perfect time to make a 3rd game more or less based on Episodes 7 8 and 9. I can only imagine playing Battlefront 3 on Wii U. That thing needs some games BADLY.

Battlefront 2 is one of the only games I really play nowadays (not much of a gamer). I never played the first one so I couldn't really tell (I have mods on mine with all the maps though)  ;)

I usually choose the sniper (clone or Scout Trooper).

Battlefront 2 was one of those games which brought me and my brother together in harmony before creating a massive fictional rift between us!

Seriously, it was one of the best games for the Playstation 2, for it's time it looked pretty good and the gameplay itself was great. We used to play week long Conquest games against each other all the time and it was an absolute blast.

It's a shame a third installation hasn't happened yet, in an industry full of CoD and Battlefield I think something like Battlefront would be a fresh addition to multiplayer shooters.

Oh, Man. Memories. In fact I have two in my hands for the play station 2 that I still play from time to time.

I don't really recall number 1 but in my memories it did have a much nicer and interesting array of maps going with a lot more hills and turns, decorations and appeal while in number 2 its mostly a flat map with little detail and just separate paths, all normally leading to the same thing except in rare occasions. I also like the bases burrowed deep in one end where you could have a cool final stand or push but those are few as well.

The only bad parts about battlefront is that you got what you was given, you can't choose what kind of classes are open in a match nor can you choose the vehicles open to be played. If I wanted a walker I would have to pick a map that I specifically remember having a walker, which is also a bit lame if I like playing republic or droids since none of their maps have dark empire walkers or ATT giants nor the space ships.

I would LOVE to have this for xbox live or whatever this day and age but it just ain't happening.

I love being droids, Star wars battlefront was the only time that the droids got treated with any actual respect and shown as a legitimate threat.

Battlefront is boss. I still play it on my pc to this day! I think both games had their pros and cons that made them fun and unique to play. I personally favor Battlefront 2, but enjoy returning back to the first to enjoy the classic maps that they didn't transfer over. I played as the standard soldier and was basically like a commando. For all you pc users out there, BFX mod for Battlefront 2 is the best thing ever!

Well, I saw a topic about the best game ever, and just had to contribute.

Star Wars Force unleashed...brings back memories. I still play it rarely on my 360, but not often enough.

Favourite game? Tough choice, they're both incredible, but I think 1 just wins over for the fact that you can't play as Jedi, and they're actually worth having in game. That, and the Sarlaac pit is the best thing to fight near - ever. So many Tusken Raiders being eaten, those where the days.

Anyway - Favourite faction: Empire. Caus y'know. Empire.

Favourite troopers? Dark Troopers. Those jump jets man...most fun ever. Specially when you just jump over Skywalkers head again and again - then fall off of cloud city :(

Good times...

Yeah, 1 had MUCH better maps. They were more in depth with many things going on at one.

You had the firefights of the halls in the Cloud City Station and the dogfights going on just above you. You had the big D-Day style fight at the Kashyyk docks and the giant walkers pulverizing rookies. You had the Dune Sea, with tanks pulverizing one another and dogfights going on up ahead and the Sarlaac put swallowing everything that came near, along with the Tusken Raiders fighting everyone.

You don't see that in 2.

This series is great I remember playing battlefront 2 a ton when it came out I still play it occasionally on my PC. If any Star Wars game deserves a sequel it's this one. Could you imagine how awesome Battlefront 3 could be if it was made by DICE! Fingers crossed they release BF3 in time for Star Wars Episode 7.

Oh man, don't even get me started on Battlefront. 1 and 2 were quite possibly the best multiplayer games I've ever played, 2 being my most favorite. Oh god, the space maps were the absolute best.

I guess I enjoyed playing the sniper/infantry class the most. It's a shame really how I can't seem to find anyone else that plays this anymore. Might have to reinstall it sometime soon...

I'm still trying to work out whether a XP progression system would work if Battlefront 3 was made. Part of me thinks it would be possible but part thinks it wouldn't work.

I think they would have Battlefront 3 be class based like Battlefront 2. I could maybe see XP system used for who gets to play as a Hero or one of the higher classes.

We sort of have a third game as we have the PSP ones like Renegade Squadron. With how popular online play is now, it would most likely earn whoever were to make BF3 a minting.
