I'm a very big fan of drawing and love to draw though i'm not very good at it  . MLP has got me to try and get back into being creative more specifically with drawing. So i was wondering if anybody had any basics to give towards drawing cartoons. While i want some basics towards drawing cartoon characters at all i'm also really looking towards drawing MLP style such as Ponies,Changelings, Dragons, ETC... I really want to get into the hanging of drawing some of the wonderful characters and species of Equestria. So please any advice and tips would be helpful.

PS. Please if possible try to send me some links if you can wether they are personal or common basics.

You can just search google, there are a lot of tutorials, especially on deviantART.

^This is the one I used when I was trying to figure it out. I just went through and practiced each part separately by filling pages with different legs/wings/eyes/angles and now I also have those sheets as a reference for the future.

The other thing I did was just looked at pictures on google of characters and just tried to copy the drawing...that's what I'm best at.

This basically, there are plenty of great references around, this is also a pretty good one(I actually haven't seen this before, but it has some good resources, might have to practice with it myself sometime :P.)

Anyways another thing is just practice and practice alot, it really works, I mean I had like no drawing experience prior to drawing ponies, and now I can atleast draw pretty decent ones :P. All it takes is a bunch of practice and hard work :).

Good luck btw! Just make some attempts, i'm sure you'll get somewhere after a while!
