Starting to look good(I think)

Hi, everypony

So I made this drawing of Frosty(an Ice pony I came up with), because, unfortunatly the first drawing was bad(the anatomics were all wrong, the light\shade also and that list can go to infinity), but I liked the idea of Frosty, so I spent a whole lot of time and studied the anatomics of MLP, and this is what it looks like now.

 

 

and if you are interested here's the sketch i made for the anatomy accuracy and for my future drawings of other ponies(maybe)

 

 

P.S. Tell me what you think and correct the sketch if correction is needed. -_-

By any chance, what kind of Tablet do you use? I'm thinking about getting into drawing myself

but have never gotten the chance to look up what kind of tablet i should get since i'm a beginner.

well my tablet is Wacom bamboo pen(i got it a while ago, but it is still in tact, cause i used it for a year or something) Now that i am recovering my drawing skills i remembered about it) it still works perfectly and I love this tablet) It's got a very good response and wacom is a good brand for such things in overall. And it's kinda cheap)

Oh yes, almost forgot! Use Paint tool Sai if you're a beginner, then graduate to PS eventualy

 

Updated some minor details(shapes corrected, better shadows, better hair, better light) So should look a little better now

Aww, Frosty looks so cute!   I like how you drew on sketch. It's looks good.

 

What I did is I just drew the heard first and then body. I'm still working and praticing on the head and the body. The legs, I have no problem with it.

head from different angles is my biggest problem..I really was digging through a lot of tutorials to learn the anatomy more or less) Helps out a little)

Looking neat! A nice, fleshed out sketch is the way to go!

The close hind leg looks a bit off however. I would suggest removing the thigh line, and running the flank-line down to his knee. There seems to always be a smooth transition from flank to leg in ponies.
I like the general style, and this is mostly personal preference, but I would keep the body style and the mane&tail style the same. Line both, or keep both line-less. This just makes the image fit together better, flowing with each other more appropriately.

On a side-note; you should start creating stuff for you to use as avatars and signatures. It may just be my personal preference, but when I expose myself to my own art, it builds up my confidence. By showing the world and myself that I am good enough to put my stuff on display for others to see just gives a nice lift.
There is no feeling better than having somebody say "Hey, I love your avatar/sig! What's the source?" and being able to link back to my own DeviantArt.

Starting too look good I think you are exactly right in saying this. Your drawing is really really good and what I like most about it is the background you chose to go with. Very awesome background and colors.

Yeah since I'm not such a good artist yet, I am sticking to the simplistic background that gives me the basic shadow\light perspective) I choose colors to make them match the pony^^

Hey I could learn a lots just by looking at this. I am a complete noob when it comes to drawing with no prior drawing experience from when I was younger. From the looks of it you got yourself some awesome talent there keep on drawing.

Try it! Sure do! and most importantly don't give up! First 5-6 drawings may be dissapointing but then you will see major improvements! just have the patience!^^~

This is something that is interesting for me, and something I enjoy doing  And when I want to get some good results I work hard to get them! If you feel the same just spend some time to learn the basics and the rest will come with time as you practice!
