Hotel Pinkamena

Behold! Here's my first ever pony song! It is a rewrite of The Eagles' "Hotel California."

Here's a pic of Pinkamena I found in an old EqD drawfriend (to set the mood). When I saw this pic it gave me the inspirational push to finish this song (I had a "Eureka! That's it!" moment when I saw it, because of the mood it sets). Also interestingly reminds me of the song "Withy Woman."

 

Here's what the lyrics mean:

 

 

It's a soft homage to Cupcakes. It is about a roving stallion who decides to stop in Ponyville for the night and stops at the Sugarcube Corner, which for the sake of the song is a "hotel." (Just roll with it ), owned by the mysterious seductress named Pinkamena Diane Pie. As time goes on his soul is stolen by her (in the form of his cutie mark), and he becomes another one of her many soulless, blank-flank servants for the rest of time.

 

 

So without further ado:

Trotting down on the high plains, cool wind in my mane

Warm smell of fresh baked goods, rising up from the lane

Up ahead in the distance, a village came into sight

My saddlebag grew heavy while my eyes grew tired

I had to stop for the night

There she stood in the doorway;

A most exotic being she was,

And I was thinking to myself,

"Am I crazy, or did I find Oz?"

Then she lit up a candle and she showed me the way

There were voices down the corridor,

I thought I heard them neigh...

Her mind is Everfree-twisted, the message her azure eyes send,

She got a lot of pretty, pretty colts, that she calls friends

How they prance in the gardens, to their lives’ silhouette.

So I called up the servant,

"Bring me a muffin soon"

He said, "We haven't had that pastry here since the fall of Nightmare Moon"

And still those voices are calling from far away,

Shake you out from the deepest of your sleeps,

Just to hear them neigh...
