movies/tv Shows You Like That Get Bashed Alot?

Obligatory MLP FiM.

 

Although I read it much more than I watch it, I've seen some online flak for One Piece. It could just be a holdover from the pathetic 4kids dub, but it seems irrational to me. I enjoy it much more than any other anime/manga currently being made.

 

Also Phineas and Ferb, but I think a lot of it is because it's a Disney property.

I love Lost, but a lot of people I've talked about it with don't seem to like it. Either, it got too confusing for them around te 3rd or 4th season, or they felt like it drifted away from what it originally was supposed to be about, again, around the 3rd or 4th season.

 

I'm halfway through season 5 right now, and I can say that it is one of the best thriller (I consider it a thriller) dramas I've ever seen. I love the way J.J. Abrams can make a great plot out I nothing. And the show has had some amazing plot twists that I did not see coming. While it has drifted away from what I think it was originally intended to be about: surviving on an island; I still love it.

Deadliest Warrior got a bit of bashing when it was still on the air, mostly from internet "experts" mad about how their guy lost.

 

Also, Yu-Gi-Oh Zexal gets bashed a lot, but I like it a lot more than Yu-Gi-Oh GX, honestly. And GX gets a fair share of bashing, too.

Oh gahd when I was little Digimon was bashed all the time.  I grew up assuming it was the lamest show ever and absolutely no one loved it.  I was surprised when I went online and found that it actually had some fans.

 

Also, no one my age seemed to like Samurai Jack when they were little.  A lot of adults seem to though.  I guess the show was too smart and slow paced for kids.

With Napoleon Dynamite, I was a huge fan of the movie when it first came out, and was surprised by how faithful it was to the movie while having it's own twist. It made me sad at how a lot of people(though mostly users at IGN mind you) were already quick to harp on the show before it even came out, simply because it came late after the movie aired.

 

And while I agree with the many people who prefer History Channel to be about History, Pawn Stars is a pretty neat show and actually does a good job at presenting History at appropriate times

I too loved the Napoleon Dynamite movie and TV show, that show was hilarious, should've continued, I was really hoping if Fox wouldn't do it, then Comedy Central would.

Didn't Napoleon Dynamite get like 2 episodes, and then it got cancelled? I remember hearing about this show, and everyone making such a huge deal about it, and then like a week later I never heard about it again. I actually forgot about it entirely until right now.

Naruto. I love the show but there's so much hate for it. I enjoy many cartoon shows and for me Naruto is one of my favorites love the fighting animations and the detailed stories and characters. And of course MLP which everyone should already know why.

The Walking Dead

 

There are quite a large amount of fans but a lot of people tend to think it's bad for some reason. Although I can agree that Season 2 wasn't quite good and the pacing of it was bad, I don't get why so many people think the rest of the series is complete shit. Season 3 has been great so far.

The Big Bang Theory is my 'guilty pleasure' as well. I wouldn't say that people think those who watch it are as you mentioned people saying, because that's definitely not true. The most common criticism I've found is that the show's humor is repetitive and formulaic. And yeah, I would definitely agree with that, but it's no big deal to me. TBBT is some good shit, mang.

I don't watch TBBT usually, but I sometimes watch it when nothing else is on. Sure, it's not that great and some of the jokes are lame. But it's entertaining to watch atleast, and sure they do get a little bit too trigger happy with the laugh track.

Littlest Pet Shop: Most, of the time, people seem to hate on this show because of it looking sorta similar to FIM. But, I for one really like this show.

I didn't like Season 2 so much. The pacing was quite poor, this can be seen on how they we're looking for Sophia for I think atleast 6 episodes. That was half of the season! The only episodes from Season 2 that I really liked we're Episode 1: What Lies Ahead, Episode 10: 18 Miles Out, and the Season Finale.

It is off the air due to the fact one of the people the caught committed suicide and that put the nails in the coffin...

 

The show also took heat for supposed "Entrapment" despite the fact the predators went willing to the house.
