(Yay, time to find my element! It sucks that it has to be in one of the creepiest places I've ever heard of.... Such a weird place for the element of Laughter! Oh yeah, and you should do the time skip)

 

Lightning jumped up and down, cheering. "Haha, we got the element and defeated the big meanie!" She squealed, "Honestly, Loony, I thought you were going to be the element of laughter!" She giggled a bit. She turned her head towards Nidal. Such a strange pony... She thought to herself.

The two day trek to Phillydelphia was in one word... uneventful... the barren wasteland that was once Equestria showed practically no signs of life, save for an occasional merchant that was making his way to the next town. By the afternoon of the second day, they saw the city of Phillydelphia on the horizon...

"Well, the place seems, busy" said Cloud, even though they were a ways away, he could still see the crowds of ponies darting this way and that, "So what should we expect Nidal?"

"The same as in all big towns. Thieves, muggers, the like. They're poor and are looking for any way to make money. Oh, and the merchants. They're wares will probably be expensive and way more than they're actually worth. The specific dangers of this city, I don't know. Just keep a keen eye for danger. If anything catches your eye, tell me and I'll tell you the actual price it should be at, but I strongly doubt the merchant will lower it by that much."

"If you guys want me to", Lightning started, "I can fly over and see what we'll be expecting!"

 

Lightning rummaged through her saddlebags to see if she had everything she needed. Three water baloons left, no money, and her favorite story-book. Oh no! She thought, I left my bucket back in the forest!

*Suddenly, the three of you see a pony fly overhead and drop something. It lands right in front of you. It is a large pouch filled with a large sum of money, with a note attached that said* "Founds for the lucky travelers. -Mercer"

"No Lightning, it'd be best if we stick together, Let's go look for a hotel or some place with vacancy, we may not want to be out here when it gets dark" said Cloud as they approached the city. Many of the ragged looking ponies stared at the group, many with looks that gave off malicious intent, "Stay close guys" said Cloud warily...

Nidal looks at the bag and takes out her rapier to poke it once lightly, making sure it wasn't a trap.

"What is this guy playing at?" asked a confused Cloud... he opened the bag to see the amount of money that was placed in it. Immediately, they heard a voice behind them, "Well well well... what have we here?" it was a rather ragged looking unicorn along with a large muscular pegasus, both with knives of their own, "Looks like somepony hit the jackpot... bits and bitches" the unicorn chuckled as he eyed both the money and the mares...

Nidal bucked backwards, onto the unicorn, as she turned her rapier to the pegasus's neck. "You mind repeating that before your friend and you are killed and or robbed?" The look on her face said she had done it before and she would do it now if need be. "Or if you'd prefer to live, drop all your money and your weapons and get out. Don't think you can fool me by dropping any less then all you own. I'll know."

Ampyrion snapped out of the trance-like state he was in (my rp excuse for being away from 3 pages). Hmm? He whirled around looked blankly at the two muggers behind the group. "Surely you guys can't be serious," he snapped. "Even if you failed math, you could see there's more of us than there are of you."

The Pegasus only gave a flash of worry, soon after Nidal's threat, a glow was seen as Nidal was covered with a soft orange sheen and she was then thrown roughly off the pegasus and onto the ground, still trapped in the magical hold, the unicorn got back up and began to approach her, a malicious grin on his face, "Guess you'll be first" he hissed, Immediately, Cloud felt a spike of anger, without thinking, he tackled the unicorn, punching him in the face before holding a hoof down painfully on his horn, "Let her go NOW!" he demanded, the unicorn, not wanting his horn crushed, let go of his magical hold of Nidal, unfortunately, he didnt notice the big pegasus approaching him...

*Suddenly the pegasus felt a tugging on his wing. He turned around to see Mercer, holding on to his wing, holding him back*

"You may stop. These ponies here are my personal guests, and as you well know, this is my domain."

*Mercer flung the mugger back and it skidded a few feet in the dirt*

Nidal got herself up and picked back up her rapier. She dashed twice, jabbing both of them through their necks. She didn't care if they were told to stop. "Nobody speaks to me that way. And now you see why I don't like it here. The brutes are about as stupid as they get; they can't tell when they can't win. That magical hold wouldn't have held as long as he wanted it to. I gave them an ultimatum. They decided to go against it. They lose their lives." She quickly took their money and looked at the rest of the group to see their reactions to ponies being killed.

Ampyrion frowned. Did she just...kill...those ponies? He filed away the incident in his memory, but managed to keep a neutral face. Probably shouldn't go to sleep without some sort of barrier around me now, he grumbled as paranoia took root.

He still felt great anger about what he had said, with one motion, he brought his hoof down on the dead unicorn's horn, crushing it, "Serves him right for talking to you that way". He then turned to Mercer, "And what do you want now?"

 

 

*Mercer smirked and raised an eyebrow at Cloud*

"Just making sure you got my little gift without any trouble. And welcoming you to my home. Welcome to Phillydelphia my friends. I hope you have a wonderful time in the home of all of the greatest scumbags, cutpurses, and cheapskates."

*Mercer's smile dropped from his face.*

"You really seem intent on insulting me in my own home. Well let me tell you something, "brother" I can make your time here either easy as can be, or the most difficult experience you have ever had. Thats all up to you little pegasus. If you happen to change your mind on accepting my assistance, go to the old abandoned chapel. I'll be there. And even after this insult, I'm still letting you keep the money. Use is wisely."

*Mercer flew off, leaving the ponies with the bag of money and the two dead muggers*
