gaming Video game voice acting!

So, many (Almost all) video games have voice casts in it. I just wanted to know, what was the WORST voice casting in a video game that you have EVER heard? Like....so bad that it really REALLY bugs the crap out of you!!!

To be honest, I havent really played a game where the voice acting is horrible, but what about any of you gamer ponies?

Pretty much every NPC you meet in Dragon Nest. Seriously, they sound like they were paid two quid for the job... they even sound like they're supposed to be terrible at voice acting. One piece of dialogue was supposed to have a scout stuttering with fright, and the voice actor just pronounced four blunt K noises in a row. Bleh.

Addicting game though.

The Metal Gear Solid series, if those don't have the best voice acting, then I don't know what does.

Also Starfox 64, if only for the dirty youtube videos

Raven Squad by far has the WORST voice acting ever. of all time. It wouldn't even make up for it if the game was good! another is probably Amy rose from sonic adventure two...

Resident Evil was FAMOUSLY bad in the first few games.

I mean, there was nothing like it. Not only could those people not act, they weren't even trying to act--in fact I'm not sure they knew they were supposed to be acting. I think the producers woke up a bunch of homeless people at 3 AM and offered them sandwiches to say a few lines into a microphone.

And they didn't like the sandwiches.

I think Dave Fennoy did an amazing job as Lee Everett from The Walking Dead. The fact that he can go from loving and caring to intimidating in just a few seconds is amazing.

"Now.... try laughing out loud."

"HAHAHAHAHA! HAHA! HAHAHAHAHA!"

Come on guys, you can't tell me you didn't see this coming from Final Fantasy X!

This really can't count. They were trying to force laughing IN THE GAME. The real laughter IN THE SAME SCENE nullifies the hate the first 20 seconds of fake laughter seems to get. That scene was fantastic if you actually understand it. Fantastic and rather heart breaking once you witness the events during the invasion of Home.

Now truly bad video game acting would have to be Dragon's Nest. Oh man, that made me cringe.

House of the Dead 2 is so bad it's good.

Absolutely love hearing the sheer lack of uncaring in every actors voice. Really adds a bit of B level charm though.

Everyone, I believe we have found the holy grail of terribad voice acting! No amount of help could possibly save that atrocity.

The worst video game voice acting I've heard is probably Sonic games, it honestly just sucks usually. The games themselves aren't too bad though. :P

The best I've heard though through all my years of gaming is probably Xenoblade Chronicles, the british localization is absolutely superb, so much so that the english voices actually fit the characters better than the japanese ones! Nintendo of Europe should definitely localize more of Nintendo's games, maybe they could of hired better VAs for Metroid: Other M(another game with pretty bad voice acting). ;)
