Demi 545 February 2, 2012 Share February 2, 2012 I do enjoy it more when the episodes take turns starring a mane pony, but I have felt Applejack was a little underwhelmed so far this season. I think it's sad in both episodes (back to back) they threaten to have Applejack leave. It's always nice to keep having Sweet Apple Acres come up though, haven't really heard too much about it since season 1 it seems.
DJ MUFF1N D3RP 322 February 2, 2012 Share February 2, 2012 The Apple Family had been a little underused before these last two episodes. It was nice to see a bit more of them and give them a chance to shine. But now that they have had 2 episodes about them, I think we will need a Fluttershy episode soon, because she is basically the only one of the Mane 6 who hasn't had an episode all about her in season 2. It's party time, ponies! Let's do this Pinkie Pie Style! http://www.youtube.c...35EA5C5072F46D5
Cupcake Ice Cream 436 February 2, 2012 Author Share February 2, 2012 She isn't my fave but I would love to see some Fluttershy The Apple family is the founding family of Ponyville. They're very important and well respected leaders in the community. Of course that means we'll see a lot of them! Yeah I agree and I wouldn't even mind 4 episodes if they were spread out more
I used to be a stranger 7,993 February 2, 2012 Share February 2, 2012 I think it counterbalances the fact that everyone thinks (with great ease) that either Rainbow Dash or Rarity "is best pony".
Lady Rarity Pony 4,892 February 2, 2012 Share February 2, 2012 I would like some AJ episodes that do not include her family -.- LRP's opinions are subject to change without notice. Fees and penalties still apply.
DJ MUFF1N D3RP 322 February 2, 2012 Share February 2, 2012 I thought Last Roundup was mainly an Applejack episode. They weren't in Ponyville, so no Apple Family and it was her problem they were working on fixing, so I thought it fit the bill nicely. It's party time, ponies! Gingerpotato 889 February 2, 2012 Share February 2, 2012 I've never been an ApplejaCK and this isn't me being unfair but there have been a few too many episodes to do with the Apple family. If they were more evenly spread out through the series then i'd be fine but it seems that after Applejack was tossed out of the spotlight by Derpy in The Last roundup, the developers have been trying to push her more into episodes. Just my opinion.
Raita 68 February 2, 2012 Share February 2, 2012 I agree tht AJ needs some love, but....SCOOTALOO AND FLUTTERSHY NEED IT 2! soo...yah.. " Why walk when you can bounce? Silly-filly! "
83awsm 234 February 2, 2012 Share February 2, 2012 It seems as though they're producing single mane character focused episodes in mini series. While its cool to learn more about each individually, I agree that it'd be better if they mixed the ep's up a bit Awesomeness = at least 20% Cooler. Mister Jack 566 February 2, 2012 Share February 2, 2012 The Apple Family episodes have been good, but we're spending a little too much time at Sweet Apple Acres lately. Time to move on to other locales.
Sami Calden 6 February 2, 2012 Share February 2, 2012 I definately agree that there's been a LOT of the apples lately, but I like it. I do feel like the earlier episodes rotated a lot more between characters than recently. ~sami

I agree on this statement, more Fluttershy. Also some more Zecora. I'd like to thank the MLP Vector Club for the images used in my avatar. Nordica 180 February 2, 2012 Share February 2, 2012 Too much Apples. Great that she has been give some spotlight, but I'd rather have the camera focus on somepony else now. Fluttershy is perfect, but I won't say no to more Twilight.

Luurilka 325 February 3, 2012 Share February 3, 2012 Actually, not that many bronies really like Applejack. And yes, we've gotten too many Applejack episodes, Fluttershy episodes are desperately needed. 2 "Reducing existential risk — that is, carefully and thoughtfully preparing to not kill ourselves — may be the greatest moral imperative we have." - Lukeprog

ScottishUnicorn 284 February 3, 2012 Share February 3, 2012 This is what happened when Rainbow Dash and Rarity got like 3 episodes in a row, there needs to be more episode variety.
Starswirl the Trixie 975 February 3, 2012 Share February 3, 2012 Not to be cynical, but I do think that AJ gets far too much attention in the show. I remember reading that she appears in more episodes than any other pony, even Twilight. Apple Bloom gets far more attention than any of the other CMC, and the number of episodes devoted to the Apple family is quite disproportionate. Now, some of the connections between the mane six and the elements they represent are weak; Rarity is only shown being generous on a handful of occasions, and is often demanding (and don't forget the hotel attendant in "Sweet and Elite"), for instance. But Applejack is not at all a pillar of honesty and fairness. In Iron Pony, most of the athletic events were normal ones; for some reason, lasso throwing was among them. Imagine if Dash had put in a flying event: AJ would have been utterly outraged, and may have ragequit. In the most recent episode, she pulls the strange argument that her friends count as "honorary family members", and temporarily hires them to double her labor pool (it is possible that Flim and Flam never actually understood what "honorary family members" meant before they approved it). And finally, in "The Last Roundup", she violates a Pinkie Promise by saying that, in the sentence "I'll tell you at breakfast." she meant any breakfast, even one decades down the road. Then again, perhaps these character flaws actually make her a good character for providing an antihero-esque figure. By the way, where are the Fluttershy episodes? In Dragonshy she was the most important character, but not by much, and in Stare Master the show was stolen by the CMC. 1 #SOCKS
Ezynell 2,037 February 3, 2012 Share February 3, 2012 That's an interesting poll, though I wouldn't take it entirely at face value. More importantly, Applejack receiving more appearances doesn't negate or reverse the trend of her being "underrated." Forcing her to be popular, which I doubt is the intention of the writers, is not the way to go. My guess is that they want to provide more foundation for Ponyville as well as one of the more established on screen families. But they have done quite a bit of that already. It's from EqD a while back GAK
Yellow Diamond 7,569 February 3, 2012 Share February 3, 2012 Now, some of the connections between the mane six and the elements they represent are weak; Rarity is only shown being generous on a handful of occasions, and is often demanding (and don't forget the hotel attendant in "Sweet and Elite"), for instance. These examples serve as the reasons why some fans joke about Rainbow Dash and Applejack having the wrong elements. Dash tends to be straight shooter while AJ is there to help others with great frequency; conversely, Dash tends to be self-involved and worried about how she is perceived by her peers whereas Applejack is more than willing to obscure the truth or use underhooved tactics when desperate. It's not a fullproof argument, but it is recurrent. Domine, tu omnia nosti, tu scis quia amo te.

Akemi Homura 7,680 February 3, 2012 Share February 3, 2012 I think the producers thought of these ideas last year, before we REALLY started to love MLP. So, next season it might be more of the CMC getting their cutie marks and more Fluttershy (season 2 is in need of some Fluttershy). Also Doctor Whooves has the potential to become something great... (or at least a nod, such as the one to Derpy) If they're going to make Doctor Whooves episode in detail towards him, I would assume it would be during the Season 3 premiere. Or maybe a future movie, though I'm not exactly sure how a movie about him would turn out. I will explode from happiness if they got David Tennant to voice him.
