Anachronous 682 February 2, 2012 Share February 2, 2012 (edited) Okay, so yeah, everypony; check it out. This is, by definition the Procrastination Club, a club for people who practice procrastination. While the definition of this club may suggest that we are the Tautology Club, we are not the Tautology Club. If you want to join the Tautology Club, join the Tautology Club because this isn't what you're looking for. tautology |tôˈtäləjē|noun ( pl. -gies)the saying of the same thing twice in different words, generally considered to be a fault of style (e.g., they arrived one after the other in succession).• a phrase or expression in which the same thing is said twice in different words. • Logic a statement that is true by necessity or by virtue of its logical form. I.E. not this club. You join this club, the Procrastination Club, by being a total bro about procrastinating and having a story to tell about your ventures in procrastination. We have a few founding members. Check 'em out. > Veece > BowlArt64 > AKA Mr. Wobbels > Moosefullaeggs If you are worthy and deemed so by our Board of Sloth, perhaps you can join our ranks. We have a few rules and whatnot; among them, don't spam and don't try to abide by all rules upheld anywhere else on the boards. I guess you can consider this the Lazy Guy's General Discussion of Laziness. We have a few more rules but I'll type those up later; not up for that right now. EDIT: "holla holla get $" is the only exception to our creed. You can forgo your laziness if it in the stead of being lucrative because everypony loves the moneys. EDIT 2: Applying to join the Procrastination Club is tricky. While we request that you share an experience worthy of getting you accepted into the group, sharing such an experience requires substantial effort to be convincing and can - as a result! - void your status as a true practitioner of the Procrastination arts. This is a multi-layered burrito of ironies and meta and must be treated with care; however, those who have mastered Procrastination are often keen enough in the mind to circumvent obstacles when presented with them. Consider this a test that is testing so many things that even considering them will result in a spontaneous asplosion. Best of luck to our fledging members. Anachronous 682 February 2, 2012 Author Share February 2, 2012 (edited) I was recently taken on as an intern at an office because, of course, we all know one's goal in life is to "holla holla get $" and all that lot. Today, I was supposed to show up to help with a bit of office renevation. However, I decided that going to Chipotle and eating expensive Mexican food was more relevant to my interests. holla holla get no $ EDIT: As a founding member of the Procrastination Club, I endorse Fizzy's addition. Am I worthy? I was given an entire research project last year that mattered for 50% of my grade. I did not do this project at all. On the weekend of the Science fair, I threw together a board about "magnetic plants" and explained my farce of a project in a fashion that got me full credit for the assignment and my board a heady position in the science fair. I purchased no plants and no magnets and was alotted half of the year to complete this project. I respect a consistent stint of procrastination in regards to one's schoolwork, especially in regards to the sciences. You have my endorsement. keep it real . Arylett Charnoa 4,919 February 2, 2012 Share February 2, 2012 I procrastinated on joining this club. And am procrastinating right now on doing important college things and finishing my drawing requests. I also procrastinate on posting in threads on these forums by doing the reverse; doing important things to procrastinate on more trivial things. My entire life is procrastination. I procrastinate so much that sometimes my procrastination becomes productive. Am I worthy? Aether Velvet is the name of the OC in my avatar. Drawn by me. However, if sheerly because the amount of your procrastinating rivaling any that I've seen before, I am willing to overlook such details for the sake of your potential acceptance among our ranks. HomuraBL 851 February 2, 2012 Share February 2, 2012 I have a couple stories. I once had to do a project that involve having to match pictures I find anywhere, ( like the internet), and Math def. back in 5th grade. We had like 4 months to finish it and I waited till the last 3 days to finish it. My mom got really mad at me and forced me to work on it all three days. I did ended up finishing it...A week before it was actually due. I was shocked. Another one is that in 7th grade we had to do a video about a movie trailer for a book we picked. I waited till the last day, add a couple of slides and a short scene involving me and put it together. I got at least a C. Every day I procarstinate with my geometry homework. I wait till the period before a my geometry and get help from my smart friend. Am I worthy?
NeverNeverland 1,940 February 2, 2012 Share February 2, 2012 Had to prepare an article to present to class, but because my teacher was picky, I couldn't find an article until the day of presentation. She accepted the article, and I managed to do a rough version of my presentation while others presented, then when I went up, I did my thing and wound up with an 83%.
