Actually, I just decided to look in Life Advice, take my chances. One of the topics up top. But damn... I just hope he gets to feeling better soon... If he doesn't return... Then... :(

And I killed the chat, didn't I?

Yeah... so do I. :(

And nope, still here. ^_^

i guess everyone's busy celebrating Christmas.

It shouldn't be quite yet unless really, really living towards the east?

Wait, so that's why Ganny hasn't been posting here lately? Huh. I was wondering why I hadn't seen him in a few days.

He probably does need a break though, he seemed a bit emotionally unstable...

It shouldn't be quite yet unless really, really living towards the east?

I don't think it's close to being Christmas Eve anywhere yet.

I think I may have found my preferred color of drinks.

And that is blue.

I really freaking love blueberry/rasberry flavored things and blue is just an oh so pretty color which helps.

----------------------------

One slight problem... I'm on my smartphone and am using the mobile version... Plus, I'm sure it'd lag on me if I tried viewing Ganny's profile outside of the mobile version...

Odd thing, I was actually using my phone as well, on the full site, and driving to church. I would have posted it, but my signal decided to drop along the way. :|

But, yea. I take it you found it by your post after the one Im quoting.

I hope he's ok as well. :/

i guess everyone's busy celebrating Christmas.

Nope. Still got two days for me, maybe one for others in certain areas.

Now, maybe a Christmas party or something. Idk.

i was referring to the fact that it was so empty and quiet in here.

Oh. You're right. Silly me. ^_^

Eeyup.

And again, eeyup. But you know, just in case.

(sigh) Raspberry or bluberry are somewhat uncommon over here...

Now that's two reasons for me to fly down there and bring you. :|

Which isn't necessarily a bad thing.....

But still!

I know. COME HERE! :D Besides, if we go south from where I am, we get to see THIS:

Ah, well, dang...

I just read Ganaram's google doc and I am rather saddened. You know, that's one of the things that I don't like about the Internet. Your ability to help others is so limited. If someone logs off and disconnects, then... You simply have to wait for them to come back. Until then, you can only wish them well.

honestly, i don't think Skrillex is worth the hate, really. he has produced some pretty powerful, melodical work in the past, and i feel people just tend to overlook on that fact just because of him "ruining dubstep" because of That One Song.

Yeah, I actually really like some of his electro house stuff... "With You, Friends" comes to mind.

Also, I just learned that Sonny's band before he was Skrillex had a song on Burnout 3's Soundtrack... And he was the lead singer. I've always loved that soundtrack too (and that specific song), and I'm just learning this. Huh.

Fun fact: I used to think Slats Slats Slats was some kind of dubstep until I learned of Electro.

Skrillex feels like that kind of guy who just happened to turn lucky with his music. it could have been anyone else producing far more warble-garbleling noisy shit than he does. in a way, it feels like he's more of a laidback kind of guy than anyone else who rides in fame is.

i get that impression from him when he openly stated he doesn't really care if the Bangarang EP gets acquired through illegal manners, or when he mentioned that favorite song from Aphex Twin, but everyone in the comments started to cry out "WHERE'S THE FUCKING DROP?!". like he was posting status updates for the wrong audience.

if we take someone like deadmau5, for example, i find it clear that he's posting statuses on twitter and facebook reciting memes just for the attention. he feels more like that kind of guy who knows how to plead towards the mainstream audience, whereas Skrillex isn't that kind of guy, and thus get off responses from his fanbase when he posts about stuff.

maybe i'm taking an off shot here, myself, but that's the impression i am getting out of it.

Electro is actually an ancient relative to old detroit techno. here's an example of an electro song:

yes, i know you're talking about Electro House, and that Elector is an abbreviation of the word, but still. :P

he was the singer of a post-hardcore group called From First to Last, according to Wikipedia. post-hardcore is usually pretty good stuff, i might check it out.

and holy shit, the album Adhesion is just the stuff i want to hear from dubstep. owo

ROAD TRIP! :D

You do realize that, while I realize what American means, 90% of America uses kilometres, right? :P  Still, right. You use miles. Um...I think it would be around 400, 450 miles. Probably more.

But yes, ROAD TRIP! We both get drum sets and make concerts all over Argentina being just as good as the Chester Thompson and Phil Collins duet! :D

Ooooh wow. I sort of remember reading that, but paid it no attention.

I guess thats why Bluetrace said Electro house. Did not know I've been referring to something different this whole time. Dammit.

Thanks for clearing that up. Now I just gotta go fix my Itunes again.

Hmm, I think Imma YouTube that in a sec.

Doesn't know who Phil Collins is. Where did you put that rock you've been living under?

Genesis is better than Phil Collins' solo act.

Indeed. I think I remember you saying you were a fan awhile back.

Ive only heard one of his electro songs, that being Slats Slats Slats.

Fun fact: I used to think Slats Slats Slats was some kind of dubstep until I learned of Electro.

I remember hearing Slats Slats Slats awhile ago. I like this one too:

"From First to Last" was his old band. It was kind of punk-y I think (I've only heard one song from them though, so I can't specifically pin down their genre). I can't believe it was him that whole time singing that song I liked so much on B3's soundtrack though...

I was one of those lucky people that always knew the difference between dubstep and other electronic genres, because I started off listening to electro/house first, then I heard about dubstep. /getsoffhighhorse

maybe i'm taking an off shot here, myself, but that's the impression i am getting out of it.

I would disagree somewhat, actually. For example, deadmau5 has pretty much said that he's done with dubstep, and he's even made fun of it openly a few times. The only reason he's made those 3 or 4 dubstep tracks in his career was because his fans wouldn't stop pleading with him to do it.

I think Joel's actually straying away from the mainstream audience, because he's sort of cutting off what a lot of people want to hear. You could argue that him producing those songs were him "caving in" to pressure, but I mean, hey. Raise Your Weapon is a pretty great song.

And then, on the other hand, Skrillex produces pretty much ONLY dubstep now, because that's what everyone wants to hear from him. He used to do electro, but now that he's known for dubstep that's what he does now.

I thought that was hilarious though, when Skrillex posted that Aphex Twin song. Flim is awesome though, our jazz quartet plays a cover of it...

Listening now.

Aah. Shall YouTube them in a second then.

Electro house and Dubstep are the only two I got mixed.

Now I just gotta find a difference between Techno an House...
