you think i put too much effort into the latest version of my song? i had been on that thing all day today, until i decided to stop working on it 3 hours ago and do something else.

If you work at something for too long, it becomes your reality. And that leads to issues. Breaks are very important.

not really. about 3 days of work put it into the state it is in now, and it was rather satisfying to finish something after a long time of music-block. i did get a bit annoyed yesterday and today over it because i wanted it to be absolutely pitch-perfect and stuff, which is why i took a 3 hour break and played some Doom. and seeing as it exported itself into a MIDI file flawlessly, i consider that a success.

all that remains to be done is to make a loop-friendly version of the track, so it can be used in-game. i'm asking for advice on how to loop a MIDI file, will hopefully get answers tomorrow. for now though i will sleep.
