I don't like using mouse wheels for anything in games. They're too touchy, and I have trouble keeping calm during firefights anyway, so I usually end up giving the mouse wheel a big Price is Right spin instead.

Then you've gotta learn to control yourself in such a situation. I doubt theres too many ways around that. Then again, considering what you're talking about I'm sure someone has raged hard enough and went out of their way to make one.

I know. It's always been a big problem of mine, that I lose my concentration and have a freak-out moment. It used to happen all the time when I played WoW, and my brain would just lock up when I'd get ambushed by another player. It probably goes hand in hand with the fact that my brain works too fast, and at times I can't slow it down. You'd think it would be a good thing - I'd think faster and make quicker decisions with the ability to multitask better than others, but all it does is cause my mind to gridlock. My psychiatrist agrees with me that I have OCD, owing to the fact that I have an obsessive personality, but I probably also have ADD.

 

I agree that it's something I have to get control over, but I just don't know how.

That crap happens to everyone. You just gotta practice it a lot to eventually get over it.
