unfamiliar. i've never worn glasses with a thick frame before.

Bleagh... Too thick...

I need to get a replacement pair of glasses. The pair I'm supposed to be wearing now are a size too small.

My head's insanely big. It's hard enough to get a hat and glasses that even fit me.

I didn't know it was Christmas already.

No, it's Genghis Khan's descendants' birthday... And there's 43000 of them today... And there are 16 million descendants...

it's Christmas everyday here at the North Pole.

See above.

Just HOW big are you talking about

I never bothered to measure the circumference of my head...

BUT... I had to go to rather extreme lengths to find a good-fitting hat (which I lost) and good-fitting glasses (there were very few my size).

I really hope that after a month, this Zoloft will help me. I don't see how I can stand being alive otherwise.

I have a pair of circular John Lennon sunglasses, but I'm not sure if I'm allowed to wear them in public.

Was tempted to ask what that was, but then I asked Google...

I hate optical illusions. The whole point of them is to learn that your mind is gullible and easy to screw with.

Don't optical illusions have more to do with your blind spot in your eye than your mind?

What does that mean? I've always thought optical illusions just preyed on the fact that people have weak, easily fooled brains. I hate being reminded of my own weaknesses. It pisses me off.

Break down the phrase "optical illusion". Optical, meaning it has to do with your eyes, and illusion, meaning a false picture.

It has little to do with your blind spot, since many of its ties lie in psychology. I mean, there are actual psychological laws that explain how you see stuff, like for example, this door:

door.jpg

It's not showing as a rectangle in the picture, as it's being shown geometrically as a trapezoid instead. The reason we think it's a rectangle is because, well, unlike our Flatlandian cousins (see below), we're conditioned, and two, that conditioning is, as previously mentioned, explainable.

Unless you want me to get my psychology textbook and give you a lecture, here's a segment of Flatland The Movie, or rather, the trailer because I can't find the sample clip:
