Your question itself is not possible, reality can not be fake.

The universe exists, but it is unsure if it is what we see, or is it just top of iceberg. I think what we can see is only small part of entire universe; and afterall, we are lightyears away from seeing what is in our universe. Additionally, there is theories, that tell us there is more than one universe. There is no accurate way of any of the theories, so it is impossible to decide what theory is right. We just need to choose what to believe to.
