Cloverleaf interchanges aren't all safe, that's why they don't make them anymore, they can be hazardous because of the limited merge lanes. They are accident prone.

 

They are less expensive to make, but way less safe, I know a couple cloverleafs here in the Denver area, and heh, they can seem unsafe. xD
