Really? How'd he get undead? Bitten by a vampire? What kind of armor and weapons does he have? What spells does he have?

What's it about?

 

Unable to cope with the financial ruin caused by the Great Depression, Frances's father has taken his own life. Sad and bewildered, Frances cashes in the railroad ticket that would have carried her to her aunt's home, trades in her dress for trousers and a cap, and hits the rails as a hobo called Frankie Blue. With Stewpot, another young hobo, as her guide, Frankie learns to sneak on and off trains, find food, and protect herself. Then Stewpot gets sick, and Frankie realizes that the reality of life on the rails is far different from her romantic notions.

 

...it's not something I want to read due to how horrifying the plot is (any Stephen King book or George Orwell novel). It's not anything I want to read due to how horrible the plot sounds (Twilight, 5SOG). I...I don't want to read it at all. 

 

Simply put, it's basically the stock Great Depression story. Kid gets stuck in horrible situation, runs away, meets somebody else, finds out that achieving your dreams isn't all cracked up to be. It's basically Bud, Not Buddy but way, way worse.

Vampire follower, only undead can access an area, that ordeal.

 

He has Scaled armor and he uses a dwarven bow and an elven sword.

 

No spells.

Either you're going to make a bunch of daylight sensors, or you're going to build something out out quartz. Which is a bad idea, since quartz has all the blast resistance of wet toilet paper.

And fashionably speaking, you must look hideous wearing all that mismatched gear.

 

 

 

I'm not playing as a mage at the moment.

Even if you're not a mage, you should at least have a few basic spells to fall back on if you run out of arrows or your bow gets disarmed off of you.
