Like this: once upon a time, each letter had its own sound, but then because of sound shifts, two letters will end up making the same sound. Such is the case with Thai and the /t/ sound.

 

The other way is transcribing words from another language to your language and wanting to have a letter that resembles the letter you're transcribing. Such is the case with the letter C (which only made the /k/ sound in Latin) and the letter K (which made the /k/ sound in Greek but was taken by the Romans for transliterating Greek words). Then came in the letter Q...

But wait, if the letters have the exact same sound, how does one differentiate between them during speech?

Moving is pretty tough... You've got someone to help you, right? 

 

My family, mainly me and my dad are doing most of the moving stuff. And hauling it down to Arkansas from Colorado and stuff like that. Got a ton more stuff though we got a lot of stuff down there already.

I do! His colors are interesting! Though I am a fan of soft grey-ish blues.

Oh well, now you know! Yes, I did go. Last year was actually my first convention. It was really fun. Decided to go again this year, and it was even better. And not just because of my huge crush on Celestia, though meeting Nicole Oliver and getting hugs from her was absolutely FANTASTIC.

That was fun, I have been to conventions every once in a while. I was going to be staff at the one here in Colorado then I told them I was moving to Arkansas...

 

And my pony self is ME so to let you know when you talk about my pony self use it as if you are talking directly to me or 2nd person cause I am that pony. xD I don't like separations with that.. That is just how I am. xD I feel like I am the only one that seem to be that way with my pony self.. I am a pony at heart so yuppo. But thanks!
