And of course, grunts don't face death. Nope, they just sit there, lift weights when told, serve sandwiches and lemonade when told. They don't get involved. They don't get killed or crippled or traumatized because of decisions they didn't even agree to. Nope, not at all.

I'm not saying anyone who works at a desk is some greedy asshole who just wants to profit from war. Just that, when I say "torture", I don't mean cerebral effort.

They volunteered and this is a defensive military force.

My duty is to keep millions safe, if that means sending few volunteers to their deaths, so be it.

But you're not the target of my anger, as you seem to have a conscience and a sense of duty.

I'm rather talking about people who declare war or attack first, not those who send soldiers in response to defend the country.

 

Besides, military service is still compulsory in quite a few countries. Not everyone chooses to get killed, maimed, traumatized... for the good of the many.
