The Golden Throne is failing, and no one knows why. The Emperor won't survive to see the 42th millennium

 

Golden Throne was never intended to be a life supporting device anyway.

Stasis device added to the Golden Throne was a jury-rig. Emperor hoped he could sacrifice himself for the Astronomicon.

 

It was the starter engine for the Astronomicon that was to be in turn kickstarted by the Emperor.

Original intention was for Emperor to sit on the Golden Throne, fire the spark that would light the Artificial Warp entity Astronomicon and make warp travel safe as long as you had the Navigator Gene.

 

But, one who sat on the golden throne was already dead and could not bring Astronomicon to full operation.

Stasis device prevented the original purpose of Golden Throne from being filled, that thing eats into the "power source" of Golden Throne, warp energy, souls.

What is happening is the Starter Engine, that was supposed to be a one time use device is being kept on constantly.

Nothing material can sustain Warp, and nothing Material can act as Astronomicon would.

Affecting warp form real-space is impossible.

Emperor keeps the starter engine sputtering along that in turn slowly keeps Astronomicon grinding, all the time slower.

It fails because whole system is already broken, stasis field just makes it appear like it's only happening now.

 

If it had been made by the Cult of Machine, it would not break.

Work on the bounces first. It's fucking expensive, but give you the best result

Either way, I just now noticed you can use the WASD to move around a little....

I've been doing this the whole time without that...

 

And by bounces, you mean durability? I wasn't doing that cause it seemed cheap gameplay wise, and I like watching it splat on the first hit.

There never was that technology in the first place. Emperor is the only one who knew how he jury rigged the damn thing.

He had a week or so before he was entombed to make AStronomicon something entirely different.

He spent a millenia building it.

Maybe it would have worked, but Dark Gods really were the powerhouse then, un-counted worlds sacrificed to them during Horus Heresy.

Guessing they nullified Emperors attempt to light it.

 

And Imperium will only fall if men and women of the imperium allow it to.

Astronomicon is useful, but not the lynchpin.

I really don't feel like arguing about how one is supposed to act in the GCT again, so I'm jut going to say that you and some other people think that way, and the rest of us don't. We'll never be able to come to a conclusion on how to "properly" post here, so I'll leave it at that. It's a matter of opinion. And to be completely honest, it doesn't really matter in the long run.

We play at every football game. It can get tiring after every week, but I'm pretty much used to it now. And I have fun after I get there anyway, it's just getting there is the tough part.

Most of the stadiums or places you have to go are far away from where you are?

 

Occasionally. The longest trip we've gone on is a 4 hour bus ride to a city in the middle of nowhere. The worst part is that we lost the game, and it was bitterly cold. And we didn't get home until 1 am.

 

The one tonight is only about a 15 minute drive, though.

Warp travel will still work, Rogue Traders are known hop skip and jump outside the light of Astronomicon all the time.

It's just more, temperamental without it. And long distance jumps are too dangerous.

 

Astronomicon was meant to light out pathways just like the Eldar Webway that would have been completely safe.

As of right now, it's just a glorifed lighthouse.

 

And yeah, Tyranid will most likely not target Terra directly anymore.

But they are still there.

Earliest record of Tyranid Genus is from the Dark Age of Technology.

They were already "tasting" things long before Hive Fleet Behemoth hit Tyran. Tyranids already have a target, the Milky Way.
