YoshiArt Forums or YAF or (as I prefer to call it) YellingAssholes Forums.

Used to be a place for kids and artists who liked Yoshi and gaming in general. Then the "adult" members started becoming complete jerks, pushing around anyone who believed in God or defended the REMOTE possibility of ghosts being real, harassing them until they burst out so the little shits can point fingers and call them "drama queen". The admin himself is an arrogant prick, self-appointed picture of perfection and sound logic, whose actions only aim to maintain his popularity among the others.

Fortunately, the place is now dead.

Well, the ED article was written during the "golden age", which is the exact opposite extreme of its latest state. I'm not really comfortable with the stuff that happened back then, but I also abhor what it came to be.

It's like the people there have no notion of moderation - if you're not one extreme, you must be the other.

 

They still kept the word filters because it was a place "for kiddies", but somehow the rules forbidding flaming/trolling stopped being enforced when a certain Ampersand joined and started being obnoxious to every single person there. He even lost his position as a mod because of this, but somehow the same thought process didn't make the staff think he was still a nuisance. I fact, the admin started showing newfound respect for his "golden pimp hand" - pretty much an internet tough guy act with a pointless smiley fetish and no regard for any "kiddies'" feelings.

 

They also presented fallacious arguments to justify calling me a sadist for "hitting my sister to reliee stress", when what I said was "my sister is constantly straining my nerves, and I lose my temper, like, a few times a year and give her a slap, though I still feel terrible about it".

And that's just one of the many "mature" things they did. Not just to me, but to anyone who didn't fit their concept of maturity.

why the heck do feld0 have an, albeit small, copy of the forums that he despised so on his website? o.o

and yes, it was as bad as it sounded. i admit the forums here has had a change of atmosphere too lately i'm not too particularly fonod of, but it's nowhere near as bad as that forum was. only forum i've ever left on my free will to date.

a friend of mine told me and fissy that said Ampersand person started advertising on the forums about his new 'super-cool' forum he had made, and this apparently aggrevated the admin who created the website (not the egoistical one fissy mentioned, but the one who FOUNDED the place), to the point that he plain simply just deleted the entire forum. the website still seems to be there, but the forums are completely unaccesiable now.
