well it melds a lot better with my mind than other fighting games does, i mean. i find it hard to respond accordingly to them, whereas SSB is something i can legitimately enjoy more. if that makes sense.

It does make sense..  The game isn't nor was ever meant to be as hardcore as the others, though Melee accidentally filled that spot.

 

I haven't played either of those games in forever. I really need to dust off my wii and start kicking tail again.

i used to play Melee a lot on the GC. my brother and i got through The Subspace Emissary in just 2 days on Brawl when we rented it and a Wii, lol. pretty fun, and surprisingly not that hard to control despite the fact that we used Wiimotes.

I played a shit ton of Melee as well when it was fresh and even then after Brawl came out before I fully accepted Brawl as a Smash Bros game.

 

That Subspace Emissary was neat, but I didn't care for it that much. And that last boss was hard as fuckshit.

i heard a lot of outcry against Brawl because of how it was unbalanced or whatever. i didn't really care much for that, though, despite beating Melee far too many times.

 

on another note, i have 45 bucks worth of music in my Bandcamp cart right now. you might think that's a shitload of money until you'll realize that i'm only paying like 1 buck each for 5 albums, 1 euro for 3 or 4 albums, and only paying "full price" (7 bucks) for one ambient album. and that includes the album on a physical cassette.

I don't use the Wiimotes unless I just have to, so I wouldn't know. Though, I didn't get much discomfort from other games that required them.

 

Its a lot slower, I guess more characters are unbalanced (Like fucking Meta Knight), and it has things in it purposely to make it less hardcore. There is at all times an 8% chance of a player slipping upon dashing that you can't do anything about. This does ultimately break most if not all competitive playing just because of that one factor.

I still got up and moved around, and the movies themselves were about 14 hours worth. I think I was up for around 18 that day so I had plenty of time to move around and such.
