Kinda sorta; I treat them more like I do math problems or computer code, though. I'm more interested in messing up with the general syntax for shipping, like:

 

Rainbowdash+Applejack=Twilight_Interferon
Rarity_Drunk+Mug_of_Cider=Profit_Bits
Twilight_Interferon+Profit_Bits=Increment

Or, from ages before, Rainbow Dash×UPS, or more blasphemous, (UPS×FeDex)+WalMart Truck Driver.

Now, here's the weird thing: that code I have up there was an actual sample from the code I was writing. I ended up making it unintelligible.

 

The code I write is just a bunch of DWORDs that come in pairs that, when written as a pair, may transform into a different pair of DWORDs, sometimes the pair becoming just the same DWORD written twice.

 

So, easily I would've written something like:

 

 

Rainbowdash*Twilight=Rainbowdash*Rainbowdash

I really should be writing multiplication signs as asterisks; the compilers I use might throw a hissy fit at me if I use the actual multiplication sign...

Uhh, what's a BWORD?

 

I only know bit (one or zero), nibble (four bits), byte (two nibbles), word (two bytes), doubleword/DWORD (two words), quadword/QWORD (two doublewords), and octoword/OWORD(?) (two quadwords).

 

So BWORD is a boring word? I guess that's kinda true since the higher or lower WORDs in the DWORDs I deal with are either constant or have to be generalised.

Computer code can only get you so far. Ever heard of the travelling salesman problem? It's one of those problems that people can solve easily but takes computers forever to solve.

 

Like, seriously, if you wanted to get it right on a computer, you need to find every single permutation of cities and find the shortest possible distance between each one, and do you know how fast factorials balloon out? Fast. And that's just using brute force.
