Oh I see. xD I am not sure what I am going to end up doing today. Hang out maybe but I dunno if that friend is even gonna be able to today...

It's a Minecraft mod called Immersive Engineering which has, among other things, world-accurate power lines.

 

It's not three-phase alternating current at 50 or 60Hz, though, but...

 

Oh I see, that is cool I guess! They aren't THAT accurate I will say, I mean real power lines aren't that boxy and pixelly. xD But still accurate enough I could say. xD

I actually looked up the pros and cons and differences between high voltage alternating current (HVAC) and high voltage direct current (HVDC):

 - HVAC can easily step up and down voltages

 - HVDC can transmit electricity at longer distances than HVAC, but not for shorter distances

 - HVDC can connect two different HVAC power grids that operate at different frequencies

 - HVDC has two main wires whereas HVAC has multiples of three wires

 - HVDC doesn't require as much redundancy than HVAC

 - HVDC converter stations are expensive, whereas HVAC transformer stations are relatively cheaper

 

If you ask me, I'll just pretend I'm setting up HVDC systems because I need one less wire that way. Though two-phase AC-- does that even work? (I would think it would, though.)
