@, did you know that I keep reimagining a certain area in southern California as being heavily industrialised? Just last night, I dreamt it as having high voltage transmission lines and towers like this but with spacers as big as cars, which tells me they were trying to carry several megavolts of electricity through those things.

 

For the record, for a single conductor consisting of bundled wires like in that picture, the spacers are about as big as good-sized computer monitor.
