Plug in, format. It's not hard by any means.

 

I paid about 40 dollah for this, six-seven years ago.

It still works, has no additional "Software", batteries last a week with near-constant use, I don't have to agree to anything every day and I can fix it myself for pittance if it should fail.

There will always be converters to MP3 format and soft/hardware that it has can be upgraded easily to accept other formats too.

 

You will need to get a new iPod as Apple discontinues support for the models you are using.

The last MP3 player that I owned was a piece of shit.

 

It was so shitty that I couldn't even shuffle my music library. The closest I could do to randomize the songs I was playing was to play them in alphabetical order.

 

I tried making playlists, but they never worked.

 

It had a 2GB memory. I have waaaay more than 500 songs, btw.

 

Eventually it got to the point where I couldn't even delete any of the songs that were already on my MP3 player. The formatting got messed up, folders were changed to different names, and I couldn't find anything. It was horrible.

 

The only nice part was that I only needed to drag and drop the music that I wanted on the MP3 player. I didn't need to do any converting or anything. It would take any MP3 or WMA that I gave it.

 

I bought my iPod Nano in 2009 and it still works wonderfully. The battery life hasn't diminished. It is an old model, but it still works well and it doesn't have any compatibility issues with Apple just because it's old. I will use this iPod until it dies, which won't be for a very long time.

 

You do whatever you want with your music. Your MP3 player works nicely and that's great. But I decided to go straight for an iPod rather than try to go MP3 player shopping for other brands that may or may not have been reliable.

Apple can only be fixed in Apple stores. And only as long as the product is officially supported.

That's about 4 years, after that you are fsked on support. (That is overpriced too.)

Laptop will last indefinitely if taken care of by the user.

My iPod is still going strong. It's been good to me and will be good to me for a long time. It's never needed to be fixed, the battery life is great, and 16GB of memory is enough for now.

 

I'm not an Apple advocate. I don't like most of their products, they are extremely overpriced, and I don't understand how anyone can be so obsessed with it to the point where they bash everything made by Microsoft and other not-Apple companies. But I like my iPod, and I don't understand why it matters to you that I like it.

Honestly I prefer playing against AIs in counter strike 1.6 rather than playing with some random noob in TF2. Too many grievers
