Question for female bronies or pegasisters

Do people think it's weird? Yes. But, as detailed above, they just think that you are a bit odd or childish for it. The idea is more "Why are you watching MLP, it's stupid" than "Why are you watching MLP you freak of nature".

I don't really have any problems, but I'm pretty confident with myself. Some of my friends know, but they know me very well too, so they were not surprised at all. They laughed and smiled, but it was "You are odd but we love you" smile, so I'm lucky. My parents laugh at me but it's all friendly.

My mom even kind of supports my MLP interest (offering to buy me ponies or something else pony-connected, but it's usually not a MLP, because she can't make a difference biggrin.png ).

My father says every time I mention it: "Marti, stop with this kids' stuff already!",but he smiles and it's okay, because I'm a girl. He actually said it to my younger brother once: "It's okay for your sister to have plush toys and figures, because she is a girl. But you are a boy and for boys is different." My brother isn't a brony. But I really pity the boys. I think they have it harder.

I even sometimes share it with people that aren't close to me at all, hoping to find another brony, but for now I haven't. Everyone finds it childish and laughs but I was never made fun of.

I definitely don't think that the males or female have it worse.  I never have any issues, and I know several guys in my school who watch the show.  It's just staying away from the people you know are going to cause shit.

I've told my parents, and they don't mind at all. I'm an only child, so yeah, no siblings teasing me. I've never told anyone else before, but I would imagine us girls would still get a verbal beating over it, because girls are far more judgemental than guys are.

Not that many people IRL know that I'm a brony, since I don't wear T-shirts of it or anything. But I do occasionally doodle some ponies, and I don't hide it.

So far, I've just gotten some shrugs. The friend that I often hang out with thinks that it's weird, and teases me for it. If I tried to wear a pony shirt in front of her, she would probably ask me to wear something else so that her crushes wouldn't see me in a pony shirt with her. It's quite annoying at times...
